You will need to add some pipe extensions and cut the section or pipe off the muffler with the hanger this will make it easier to adapt and keep it from hanging> keep the tail resonator you will want it (Just try it before you chop it!)! It has added an awesome aggressive tone to a 4.7l.

Is great for the price. This is the second one I've installed on my vehicles. The first was a 2001 Tahoe with a 5.3 ltr, this one went on my 2008 Silverado 2500 HD with a 6.0 ltr. They both sound like a hot rod. At idle it's a low rumble tone, but when you hit the throttle everybody knows you've got a V8.

Cheaper than a flowmaster, same performance, fit, finish. Less popping too, and not too much drone for a dual chamber so it's nice on the highway. Will be buying again when needed

I put this on my 2008 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LT 4.8 V8. I cut off the old muffler (stock) and stock tailpipe and had this welded by Meineke's just after the cab (regular) and had a downspout top welded on too. Sounds amazing! Very mean! Quieter when you have the truck idling but when your get on that has you can hear out roar! St idle it'd had the quieter and but it has a mean growl once it's warned up. Excellent for the price! Buy it!I would recommend a downspout after the cab but I'd your don't like droan too much then extend the pipe a little after the muffler, at least 12". My downspout is a 3" pipe and is about 8" in length.
