Constructed with high-quality materials, this wire tracing kit is lightweight and easy to use. The portable design allows you to trace wires whenever needed. The Fox 2 is a battery operated handheld multi-function Toner that generates multiple tones (Pulse or Warble), performs some basic telephone line tests (loop mA, line polarity, and ringing voltage), provides a visual and audible continuity test, and integrates Triplett's own TrueTrace and TripLatch tests while providing overload protection up to 120 VAC. The Hound 3 is a battery operated handheld lightweight Probe, with a thumbwheel sensitivity control and signal strength indicator LED. It improves on previous designs with built-in LED headlights to illuminate dark areas and reduce fluorescent light noise, a bandpass filter to suppress 60Hz and unwanted high frequencies, an earphone jack for noisy or quiet work areas, and an easy access battery cover. Find non-energized wires in walls, ceilings, and floors. Inductive tracer with two probes indicates magnetic fields with audio and visual signals. This kit includes Fox 2, Hound 3, RJ-11 to RJ-45 adapter, plastic duck bill, metal duck bill, headphones, and a sturdy weatherproof carry case. Ridiculous cost for basically a junk toy. The plastic is about as cheap as it gets. Other vendors sell a similar product in a different color for about $15. That's even a stretch for this junk. Couldn't find wires in a wall. Was telling me the whole wall was the wire I was tracing. Returned for refund.

This product seems to be made of cheap plastic and doesn't feel like it is reliable nor sturdy, it did NOT work for me and i never got my problem resolved. I waited to long to return it and now I'm stuck with a hundred dollar, cheaply made, piece of crud. I do not recommend this product.

This thing works great and comes in a enclosed case. It’s easy to use but I am concerned about longevity as it’s made pretty cheaply I foresee it breaking first time I drop it and that’s assuming the cheap plastic knobs don’t break first Other than that it does work well so no complaints about performance.

The wand is frankly one of the best I've used. The tone generator, not so much. Really like the klien tone generator over this cheap pos. My cable iq sends out the strongest tone of everything I got.
