Intended for use with compression hose after surgery. This is a bad design on a LOT of levels:1. You have to put it on OVER YOUR HEAD, it does not open in the back like others do.2. The elastic to reach the stocking tops is WAY too short, especially in the back. This is meant to sit on the waist--do the math.3. If you can reach the stocking (I could, by really pulling and stretching the strap, and only in the front) the clips did not work on the top stocking material. In virtually all stockings, the top tends to be thicker and there was no way the clip would work.So a big 0 out of 10 for this, it was returned. (and Amazon shipped the box in an envelope so it was crushed flat. )

The older version of this belt was much better.This new version uses six metal plates in the seems; these metal plates constantly poke out of the seems when you bend over and the belt gathers together, causing the plates to poke into the stomach.You then have to re-thread the plates back into the seems.The older version was just an elastic material, minus the plates.I don't recommend this belt, but unfortunately, if there is no alternative, you may have to deal with this bad design.

Having had one knee replacement, I thought I would get one of these to help hold up the TED hose for my second knee replacement. I sure for regular hose/stocking this works great but those TED hose are a nightmare no matter what you use.

The garter tabs would not close over the the nylon top of my compression stockings. As a result, I needed to ask to return them.

I can't seem to keep the stockings on my thighs when walking without these. I recently traveled while wearing them, and they worked perfectly and didn't set off any alarms either. I did have to order the next largest size because the first pair didn't fit correctly, but after that, the new pair work great.

These do not work for compression stockings that have the rubber supports on top. The product is not accurately described. I ordered under Amazon prime & on return discovered I had to pay to have them shipped back. Would not recommend this product or this seller.

I will have to modify the clips to get it to function the way I want, but no fault on the manufacturer. Support hose has knobby bits for grip that make it awkward using these clasps, but it is a good base to start with for my purposes.
