I have 1 really expensive monitor that I want to use with multiple computers, so adding a switch to the setup is the perfect solution. So I ordered this one and got to putting everything together. My first impression of this switch was how heavy both the switch and the power supply are. This isn't necessarily a bad thing as with electronics, weight tends to be a good sign. This also meant that everything was well made and you definitely feel like you are getting a quality item.Once set up, there were a few things that stood out to me right away. The first thing was that the switch only powers 1 computer at a time, and even then the power supply is only 100W, which isn't enough for some newer computers. This makes jumping back and forth between systems problematic and, in some instances, slightly worrisome, as the power will be turning off and on as you switch.Another interesting choice was that the USB ports are maxed at 5Gbps. For this price point, I expected higher. The lack of any network connections also means that more dongles and connections will be needed for most setups.Once I started using the switch, I was pretty happy with how quickly it jumped between systems, and it made using both much easier. It's simple to set up as essentially there is only 1 cable per computer that needs to be connected, then connect the peripherals. I do wish there were USB ports on both the front and the back as it would have made setup easier.Either way, it is working quite well with my system and has made being able to use my main monitor without needing to move a bunch of cables a lot easier. It is well made and works quickly. There are a few things that, if changed, would make this a much better unit, but either way, for what I needed it for, it is working quite well.WHAT I LIKED:• Well made and looks good• Easy to set up• Quick switching• Includes a wired remote for switching• Specs are pretty good for video qualityWHAT I DIDN'T LIKE:• Only charges 1 computer at a time• USB ports are maxed at 5Gbps• More ports on both sides would be better• No network ports

This is a KVM switch with USB 3 hub features integrated into one combined device. You get to attach multiple monitors and multiple laptops/computers to this device. You also get to attach your common peripherals such as external drives, printers, external keyboard and mouse/pointing devices.USB 3 connections at 5 GbpsUSB 2 connections at 480 MbpsThis hub device needs to be plugged in to the wall and powers the device with 100 W and the downstream device drawing power from the hub can pull as much as 73 W.Note: You can only charge one laptop at a time and it must be the active selected one on the switch. The controller switch uses the ancient "mini USB" style port but is only used for device switching. You can connect as many as 2 external monitors but you cannot plug both in the "out 1" pair, you need to chose one port (DP or HDMI) in out 1 and then the other monitor needs to be connected to the HDMI port in out 2.NOTE: IMPORTANT: When switching devices or monitors, the device(Laptop or computer) MUST be ON and not in sleep mode to complete the connection successfully. You may need to repeat this a few times initially. No new drivers or software needed. Its Plug and Play so virtually hassle free once you get used to it.Windows / MacOS / Linux supported.MacOS can only mirror the device(laptop) screen to the larger external monitor display.Windows can span across 1, 2 or all 3 displays if you wish(1 display is the laptop's built in screen). All in all I'm very impressed with the quality and functionality of this device.Good value for a combined KVM Switch and USB C hub.

Spent two hours fussing with it. No display output at all from either monitor, even after lowering the resolution down to 1080.

First off, this switch is very good quality. It's made of aluminum and has a great feel to it. This can switch between two laptops. This has been essential for me to switch between my work and personal computers. It really is a necessity for anyone that works from home. I couldn't be happier with the performance. There's plenty of ports for all of your accessories and then some. This is very useful when you have a computer with limited ports. Truly useful. In my experience, UGREEN is a good brand and I expect this to last quite some time.

Reasons To Buy+ I would say that because it's single cable to each of your computer,s it's more akin to a shared dock than a traditional KVM since your computers' connection to the switch are via a single cable instead of two or more, PLUS you get charging too.+ Build quality is excellent+ 3 x USB 3.0 A ports, 1 x USB 3.0 C port (all 5gbps)+ Supports pass-through charging to the active computer+ Supports output to 1 HDMI device and (1 HDMI device OR 1 displayport device)+ Supports dual 4K60 out - I tested this with my laptop and dual 4K60 screens over HDMI. I only thought one port would do 4K60 and the second would only do 4K30, but that was not the case.+ Has a wired remote for switching between active computers+ Includes two nice data cables with 100W power delivery capacity (verified with my USB tester)+ 100W power adapter (verified at 105W with my USB tester directly connected to the power adapter - output to the laptop from the PC port maxes at 73W (also verified by my USB tester)Nitpicks / Hit or Miss* The power cable is fixed to the power adapter. Would have been nice if it had a USB port so you could substitute out a shorter or longer charging cable. I found the fixed cable to be way too short for my setup.* The switch and the power adapter are relatively heavy for what they are. I consider this a good thing, but it does make them less portable for anyone intending to carry it in their commuter bag.* This kvm/dock would have been amazing if it provided non-switched networking capability to both computers (always on for both connected PCs) and could charge both computers at the same time. Yes, it would jack up the price significantly, but it would be a killer feature. For one of my desk setups, I have two dual 4K60 capable docks PLUS a KVM to switch between my work and personal computers. It would be nice to be able to consolidate those three devices to one. It would be even better if it had hotkey support via your connected keyboard to switch between devices. Having said that, it's sold as a KVM (keyboard video and mouse), so outside of using USB dongles/peripherals for missing functionality, I can't really ding the device for not having built-in networking, audio, sd slots, etc.Reasons Not To Buy- Your two devices don't support video and data over USB-C. Generally not an issue with newer computers, but not all computers, especially lower end computers, can do this.- Only the computer connected to the switch's active port will be charged- The 73W of power delivery output can't keep up with your computer's drain (it will still charge, but if the active drain is higher, your computer will eventually power down)- You need more than 5gbps bandwidth for the USB ports.- No hotkey support

It works one minute then I have to move it around, wiggle some pieces around and then it works, sometimes I have to unplug it then plug it back. It is pretty easy to set up, just doesn't say on the whole time xD.

This is a well performing and compact KVM that works with computers that have full featured USB-C/TB ports- full stop. However, there's a few issues that make it a less than ideal solution- without having to add additional hardware (such as additional hubs/dongles/power supplies. Here's my notes in no particular order:- Included power supply is 100w with NO safety certifications. No UL or NTL markings (see attached pic)- and this supply runs hot. Suggest not relying on it to charge/power the computer (i.e. don't use if for PD) to keep things cool- or use a different power supply with higher wattage rating. Any USB-C type power supply should work.- Due to the limited wattage of the supply and probably internals in the switch itself, it will only pass power to the selected computer. This will cut off power to the deselected computer. So a laptop will switch to its internal battery and computers that can work with single cable solutions (like some mini-PCs and single board computers) will lose power. If you intend to switch back and forth between computers regularly and don't want to shut them down before switching or risk their batteries running out, you must power the computers by a separate supply (taking away from the simple 1 cable solution).- All accessory USB ports are limited to 5 Gbps. This is okay, but 10 Gbps should be expected at this price point.- This almost serves as hub for a 1 cable connection to computers that support PD, USB, and display over the USB-C port. However, it lacks ethernet and audio jacks of any sort- so you'll need dongles or another hub attached to make up for these missing ports.- I would have liked at least one accessory USB on the rear, since only on the front can make things messy.- On the plus side, the included remote control allows the switch to be tucked away or placed under the desk. However, it would have been nice if the remote included at least 1 USB port for convenience.- Port labeling is black print on dark grey background and hard to read.- It's a good-looking and compact device that appears well made.- Package includes 2 UGREEN branded USB-C cables.Considering that this cannot power the 2 connected computers simultaneously, the only thing this device really brings to the table over say a small USB-C hub or dock with PD is that you can switch between the 2 computers with the press of a button, instead of the moving the USB-C cable between the 2 computers. Since there's some decent USB-C docks for 1/4 of the price of this KVM, that inconvenience might be cost-justified.I'm giving this a generous 4 Stars, since most of the shortcomings I mentioned are apparent in the product listing.

This is a nice KVM with a lot of capability. It is well constructed, with nice accessories included. I really like the USB cables have different colors at the strain relief, a feature that makes it really easy to confirm which computer is set to input 1 or 2.Double-check the specs and make sure it will suit your needs. I imagine it’s more than enough for most folks, especially if used as a productivity/office type of tool. However, there are a few things that would be nice improvements, I think:- 4K60 is nice, more would be nicer! I could only get ultrawide 3440x1440 at 100Hz.- Position of some of the ports could be better. Some ports on the back would be wonderful for keeping the front more usable—even just one on the back that you could plug a hub into. Another USB-C on the front instead of A at least would be good.- The controller mini-USB port being on the front is a little annoying when it’s not being used; would be nice if that could be a dual purpose USB-C and the switch button connected that way.All of those complaints are balanced with keeping the size and price where they’re at I suppose, so it’s understandable. They’re also clearly detailed/shown in the product listing so I won’t take any stars off the rating. I can confidently recommend this product if it suits your requirements!
