Would be better if the foam pad was in a ventilated enclosure, to prevent the loss of flies.

I’ve had this patch on my bass bag for two seasons now. It’s handled bass flies from sizes 6-2/O. I am a teacher, so I get to fish everyday during the summer. My gears goes through it all.This patch was just all right. It started to deteriorate almost immediately, but once broken in, the deterioration stopped (or slowed).It can hold quite a few flies, but I’ve noticed it’s liable to loose flies with heavier gauge hooks. I remember loosing an elaborate feather changer that had taken hours to tie the first day I had this patch and being peeved.Overall, this patch is subpar, but without a lot of other options on the market right now, it’s the best there is.
