While this is advertised to fit all Winchester Model 94 this would be incorrect out of the box. I’m trying to get my centennial anniversary 1894-1994 set up for a hunt this year, maybe, I say that every year.Anyways, I had to bust out my small files and and get to work. Took about 30ish minutes to file it down so it would fit. Honestly it probably needs some more but I wanted a beer, and I don’t do gun work with beer so I’ll finish up tomorrow.In reality I would have sent this back but I knew I could make it work and sometime it’s just easier to do the work. I’ll have to do a cold blue and I’d say I took off 1/4 of an inch.Once it’s on and you’re done cussing. It actually works nicely. BUT someone needs to talk to Uncle Mike. Your measurements are off, your advertising is off, and it’s made in China. I would have paid more for a proper fitting part made in America.

Installation was quick. I have a scope on my lever gun. This makes cocking the trigger much easier. Only issue I have is the little set screw. They could have done a better job.

The set screw needs some lock tite. After a couple hundred shots it falls off pretty consistently. Easy enough to aviod if you take a bit of time to tighten every once in a while. The allan wrench was also a loose fit. Had to find my own for a good fit, esspecialy if you need to take it off every once in a while for cleaning the action depending on the gun.

This hammer extension performs as one would expect based on the images and the description. The item received is the Uncle Mikes 2450-0 and includes the extension, allen key, and two set screws, one being an extra for when you drop the first one (they're tiny). I fitted this extension to my top eject 1973 Winchester 94 30-30. As the images of the seller show, this thing isn't going to conform to the fine curvature of the hammer, it simply leaves a small vacancy above the hammer (when you look at it cocked down range). That being said, the people saying it wont fit without filing either have a different hammer or didn't pay attention to the square angles of the extension as shown in the sellers images. The set screws were correct in size and pitch and engaged well. I was able to tighten the extension down well enough that i cant get the extension to twist or slide at all while attempting with significant force. Fitment is solid, finish is okay for now. This is a handy little accessory for the go-to utility rifle.
