Nice sturdy plastic. Minimalistic. Lock to belt is through a snap closure. We'll see how long that retains its locking power. When I first put a couple of G19 mags, the plastic springs down inside the pouch were WAY too stiff and it was difficult to get mags in and out. I removed the plastic springs by removing the rubber tensioner spacer at the top and lifting the springs out. Simple. Without the plastic springs in place, you can adjust the rubber spacer at the top and get a perfect holding tension. Overall, a very good buy.

I use it for Sig P320 mags, but I see it fitting many more different types of magazines for different handguns. The retention screw does a good job at adjusting for different magazine styles. I was a little weary that it is only attached to the clip by one screw but it seems to be holding up well so far. I switched the belt clip out with the MOLLE clip they sell separately, and it works good on my duty vest.
