I am an Automotive Technician and I have been doing this for over 30+ years. I like trying out new tools and see if the improvements are worth it. This is a very different take on adjusting your spark plug gap. I will admit that it was hard at first as this is a different concept. I did find that chocking the tool in a vice made it easy to use and once you figure it out it does work very good. As far as time I think I can gap a set of 6 spark plugs with this in about the same time as tapping them on a hard surface. The quality is very good and I will admit that this is slowly becoming my go to for gapping spark plugs. There is a learning curve as to how tight to get the clamp, but once you get the feel of it it does a very good job.

Works well - better than the old slide disc I was using. Much more precise.

The tool is a compression only tool. It will not open the spark gap.

We rarely need to gap spark plugs any more as most of them come within the manufacturer specifications but I have to say that this GZZTORES gap tool is a pretty neat idea. The included feeler gauges are way better than the typical round wire types that you get. The premise of this device is that you simply insert the spark plug and use the knob to clamp down the spark plug while using the feeler gauges to "block" the appropriate gap between the J coming out of the spark plug and the electrode. Easy peasy. Again, these are not used very often but this is a really great tool to have in the tool box just in case. 5/5 stars for these reasons.

I've been pulling and tapping spark plugs for just about 50 years, and this make it easier on the spark plug.

Overall, this is a handy tool to have if you work with a lot of engines. Its well constructed and easy to use. The adjustment knob is easy to grip and turns smoothly. The set of feeler gauges that it came with is OUTSTANDING. I was really impressed by the quality of both items, but the feeler gauges alone are worth the price.I do have a couple nit-picks, but these are minor:- The tool can only decrease the gap, its not designed to increase the gap. In fairness, the tool doesn't claim to do this, and its less common that more gap is needed. Usually the gap grows through use and erosion of the electrode, the only time you really need to open the gap is for a new plug that got buggered in shipping.- While the feeler gauge has A LOT of sizes, I needed a .039" gap for one particular spark plug and the gauges stop at .035"Overall though, its a nice to have tool, made well, and includes a phenomenal set of feeler gauges. Good value for the price.

So it looks like I’m going to be returning my hammer and screwdriver, as I now possess a Universal Spark gap Adjusting Tool from Gzztores. I probably should have bought one of these years ago, it's just you get used to doing things a certain way and then stick with it, even if it’s wrong. There’s not much to say about this tool, it’s pretty straight forward in that you insert a spark plug and then start turning the knob to depress the flat plate until you start to feel it depressing on the feeler gauge. Sounds simple, but it does take some practice to get the feel of it.I looked the tool over when it arrived and found no manufacturer's defects or cosmetic damage. The circular knob was smooth with no hang ups as was the threaded rod. I placed several miscellaneous sized spark plugs in it and it accommodated them all. The tool is all metal, so no plastic parts to strip out.I probably should have ordered the model that came with the feeler gauge as I can’t find my mind (of course). So in all, the tool does what it’s advertised to do, it definitely makes setting spark plug gaps faster and more precise and it seems as if it’s a solid tool.
