I've got one in the chicken coop, one on the front deck, and one in a shaded spot - to compare outdoor temperatures. Gives humidity too, plus max/min and other data. The display is nice.

As you see it's 27° out and I have to keep going out getting the sensors bringing them in and resetting them do not buy this product unless you have good medical insurance to keep going out into the cold

I'm not an expert on these things, so be aware of that upfront. But I'll tell you my basic experience with this device. The main unit with the screen can be powered with the AC adapter and backed up with some batteries. By itself it'll tell you the temperature and relative humidity for where its placed. It seems like it's not exactly accurate though, reporting temperatures a few degrees hotter than it should be.Set up itself was relatively simple, there are a few buttons on the top and some on the side. This allows you to set the time, various on-screen formats and what scale you want the temperature in, either fahrenheit or celsius. The screen is pretty small, a bit smaller than I expected, but is easy enough to read and the viewing angles are generally OK.The individual censors the unit comes with each take two triple A batteries. They recommend lithium batteries for colder temperatures. I used standard batteries when I tested because it was during my summer. Everything seems to work OK. I'm not entirely sure they're accurate, especially since the main unit seems to be off a smidge, but at worst they're really close to actual temperature. I'm not sure yet how long the batteries will last, but I haven't had to replace them yet after more than a month of testing. In the end, for me, this wasn't something I needed, I just wanted to be able to compare a few zones of my house and the outside temperature. Again, it works for the most part, but I think the temperature is slightly off, at least it was compared to some analog thermometers I had around. It was generally only by a degree or two, but that's enough to take a star off in this review. If it was any more severe than that it'd be worthless. So if you need absolute precision and accuracy, I'd suggest something else. If you can live with a very slight deviation from the actual temperature, then you might be OK with this.

Love having 4 channels - for me, outdoors, basement, garage and indoors. The display is bright and easy to read. I have my weatherstation in the back of the house, have my outdoor sensor on the front porch (to protect it from rain) and it quickly picked it up. No issues with connectivity at all.I'd definitely recommend this unit.

Nice little gadget. I use it for indoor, outdoor, and crawl space. The lighting is very bright. I keep it plugged in.I wish I could dim the lighting at night. Had to create a cover for it.
