I use these cradleboards to create geode artwork, because they are sturdy enough to hold the semi precious stones like amethyst and quartz crystals. Happy with how they turn out. Will be posting them on Etsy soon!

I have ordered these boards twice. Each order contained one board that had a damaged corner. I have glued and sanded the damaged corners, but having to do so is time consuming and requires skill and patience. I am going to look elsewhere for boards. I may find this is in general a common problem. I hope not. Other than damaged corners, these boards are a good buy.

I put a light coat of gesso on the board and a veneer cracked and bubbled. This product should be able to withstand gesso. I really would like this one to be replaced, but I can’t figure out how to get a replacement without sending the damaged one back, since it’s already been gessoed and the other one in the pack has already been made into a piece of art.
