Had it connected to three computers and was working fine. Hotkey switching worked as well. Switching was a little slow, around 3 seconds, but tolerable. Right at the 1-day mark, it stopped switching the keyboard/mouse. It still switches the video. But keyboard/mouse input on ports 2 through 4 is directed to port 1. All attempts to reset it has failed. I have tried powering it off, unplugging it from power, holding the select button for a reset and unplugging all the cables and reinserting them. Nothing has helped. The @#*(&$ thing didn't last 24 hours! I bought this to replace a Tesmart KVM which was failing. After about a year, it dropped port 1, then port 2 a month later. But at least I got a year out of it! It seems like KVMs today have quality issues.

if this worked it would be the best 4port kvm u could get but it DOES NOT Work as a KVM the majority of the time it works as an unknown device in windows so your mouse and KB are not working and neither are any of the usb devices plugged into the USB ports on the device. they said it wasnt the device and pointed at the pc the pc got replaced and the issues are better same issue with the devices but it fixed what seemed to be the main usb port dying

Bottom line, this is a great little device and you wont regret adding this to your home lab. I needed 4 ports, hot keys and a very small desktop footprint. This one hit all my needs and then some. My home lab consists of Intel NUC's and HP small form factor pc's. The performance is quick and there are no glitches or screen skip that usually plague KVMs. I was able to use the SPDIF port to hook up to a pair of speakers and, it works and the sound is very good. The hot keys work and so does the tiny remote. Best of all, a very tiny footprint. You will need to supply your own HDMI cables. But for an out of the box solution, I am very impressed.

This is really more of a problem with most all KVM devices and using wireless mouse/keyboard. We have one at work we paid thousands for that has the same problem. There is a considerable amount of latency when using a wireless mouse/keyboard receiver when plugged into the Keyboard USB port on the back. In fact, that is the only port that I could get a wireless mouse/keyboard to work on. Sometimes it switches fine, other times it switches mouse but not keyboard requiring you to switch to other input then switch back to the port you want. Occurs with or without Hot Keys enabled. Not really a solution but a work around is to use a wired keyboard with a USB hub and just plug the wireless mouse into it. Not ideal but works flawlessly so far.

I bought it. Followed the instructions. I have two HP computers (Win 10 and Win 11). Plugged in the USB cables and the HDMI cables. Turned it on. Win 10 computer works fine. Win 11 computer audio doesn't work but video does work. I contacted support and they suggested a reboot. I did that a couple of times. To test, I plugged the HDMI cable from the computer directly into the TV and it worked fine when bypassing the KVM.This is a plain vanilla set up.I am continuing to work with tech support but they have offered nothing to help so far.UPDATE: I got it to work for the two computers for everything but the sound. Sound is part of HDMI and should have worked.I've added two MACs to the equation once the Windows computers were working. Still, no sound for any of them. I set up a couple of speakers I had, bought a double-ended 1/8th inch jack and now the sound is coming out of those added speakers. I should not have had to do this.PLUS: About 20% of the time, when you press the button, the video transfers, but the mouse and keyboard remain on the prior device. I can see the mouse working on the laptop which isn't the device I wanted to work on. So, you have to press the button four more times to get back to where you were and hope that it actually works.Support was not helpful beyond asking me to reboot multiple times. It works just barely enough for me to keep it for now.
