This was a free product. However, I have no incentive to be biased towards or against this product.Let's start with the situational con. The cord is a little shorter than the one on my current headset. More importantly, the volume control is too far down the line with my current setup. I work from home and anyone who works from home knows that it's crucial to have quick access to the mute button for so many reasons. But, my work setup is unique to me. So, mileage may vary. Now the non-situational con, and the reason I only gave 4 stars. Thirty minutes after I took the headset off, it still feels like the non-headphone side is digging into my head. There is a cushion on it. However, it's just not enough. For better cushioning, it would have been better if the whole piece was wrapped in cushion. Or at least enough to cover 180 degrees. I cannot imagine working for 8 hours with the feeling of that head piece digging into my head. Now for the pros. Again, I am not able to test the Volstek headset in my work setting. However, I did hook it up to my personal computer and it sounds great. It has a great balance in equalization and has good clarity. If it weren't for the non-headphone side, it would be comfortable for an 8 hour shift. The big advantage that this headset has over some other similar headsets is the versatility. I can hear well with both ears, but I my left ear is better. I can have the ear piece on the left side. If you're someone with the right ear being better, or if it's just a matter of preference, you can have the ear piece on your right ear. The mic is attached to the ear piece and can be rotated to be in front of your mouth regardless of which ear you use.Maybe it's because I'm not use to single ear headsets. It's taken me a bit of time to write this review and I still feel the non ear piece as if it was still there digging into my head. I'm really big on having backups of my headsets, mice, and keyboards so that I don't lose any work time due to one of them failing. The Volstek USB headset is being relegated to the backup category for me.So my recommendation is a bit odd. It's just not for me. However, having used similar headsets before, it is better than what I've used. So, if you're someone who uses single ear headsets, this one could be for you and I say give it a go.

This headset is particularly well-suited for long hours spent on calls for work, Zoom meetings, and video conferences.PRO: the noise-cancelling microphone. During calls, my voice comes through clearly, and I’ve received consistent feedback that my colleagues can hear me without any distractions from background noise. Whether I'm in a quiet home or a slightly chaotic environment, this mic does an excellent job isolating my voice.NOTE: The on-ear design is lightweight and comfortable for prolonged useCON: After many long weeks, the ear cushion began to lose its initial plush feel. However, they’re easily replaceable, ensuring that the headset remains comfortable with a quick swap.PRO: The in-line volume controls are a good addition, allowing for quick adjustments during calls without needing to navigate through software settings. It’s so convenient, especially when you need to lower the volume on the fly while multiple calls are happening.TIP: Over time, you may find the micro-USB connection requires a little extra attention to insert and secure properly. Initially, I didn’t pay much attention and faced occasional disconnection issues. After some regular use, I realized the importance of ensuring it’s fully seated when plugging it in—this made a noticeable difference in avoiding connectivity trouble during important meetings.

If you're looking for a good headset to use with your laptop for phone calls and meetings, this is a decent option. The sound quality for voice is good and it's mostly comfortable. The only issue I had was with the support for the side of the head that doesn't have an earphone. The padding could be better and this would be more comfortable. It just needs the padding to cover more of the plastic or to be a little thicker so the user doesn't accidentally brush against the plastic when adjusting the headset. The microphone sounded good during video and audio recordings and the earpiece was even good enough for music once I set the Windows Accessibility settings to mono audio. The mic quality will depend on how you adjust the flexible stem. It's worth taking some time to experiment with the mic in various positions to get the optimum sound since once adjusted it sounds very good for this kind of mic. Good tech for work from home or call center personnel.

I really love this headset because it has two headphones and you can turn it up really high. For someone with hearing issues, that is great for me. Unfortunately, with a lot of headsets with mics, you run into the situation of them being unable to turn up higher because they only go as high as the computer volume will go, and sometimes with a laptop that's not very high. However, this computer headset has allowed me to hear very clearly everyone that I talk to via laptop. I actually got a second one to have it home for the days when I work from home. It easily plugs into your laptop, and has a volume control on the cord for easy access. I'm not sure about the noise canceling situation because I don't work in a noisy office, but I've never been interrupted on a call by somebody walking by having a conversation.

Working from home can be stressful with background noise so when tech support from my job suggested I ordered. It’s not heavy , mic quality is good and the best part no background noise. Fit is adjustable and functional. Great for work from home jobs.
