My Surface Pro laptop does not have a dedicated HDMI port. I wanted tp hook up a Firestkck to my laptop & found that i needed this for it to work right. Nice inexpensive solution. Great value for the price. I like ybat kt has both a USB-C & a USB-A.

I got this adapter in March 2024 to live stream our choir rehearsals hooked up to an external panasonic video camera. It worked fine for about nine months. After that, it stopped transmitting video, only audio. No matter how many times I tried to uninstall and reinstall the camera drivers, only the audio would transmit through the capture card. I tried hooking the camera up to another capture device, and it worked fine. So this is going into the trash. Fine value for the money if you only want to use it for a short period of time. Unfortunately, like so much of the crap being sold these days, it's meant to be thrown away soon. Probably better off to spend a bit more money and buy something that will actually last over a year.

Not much to say here, it is a simple product. The build quality is excellent, it functions exactly as promised with a reliable and clean signal. Materials are nice as is the design. Works right out of the boxRecommended product.

This has to be one of the best devices I ever bought. Plug and play, download the app the manufacturer suggests and that’s it. Great device!!!!

I liked that it's small and portable. Software is a little deep. I have to read the instructions carefully. Otherwise thus far thumbs up 👍.

At first, only a black screen appears on the capture window of OBS software. After multiple try and error attempts I found the cause was that I was using a HDMI splitter. It does not accept HDMI that passed through a splitter. Another issue I found was that I must select "Output desktop audio (DirectSound)" although the manual says to select "(Wave out)" to record audio.
