Great device. After buying it, I liked it so much I bought a second one. I connect my cable HDMI to the device and stream to my computer monitor. This lets me work on my PCs and keep in touch with the news at the same time.

I bought this to capture video at 1080P from canon and GoPro cameras to a Mac and windows PC. Worked without any issues.

Got these for live video streaming. After a few uses, the video in the streaming software began freezing any time I moved the wire on this just a little. I stream frm two locations, and the one that uses a different adapter did not have any issues. I replaced these with a one-piece device, and issues seem to be resolved. Sorry, I cannot recommend these.

This is a solid little HDMI capture card that works out of the box on Windows. The camera app in Windows 11 picked it up immediately with no issues. It also helpfully shows a test pattern when there's no signal coming in the HDMI port which helps determine whether or not its working. OBS on Windows also had no issues picking this up.The image has some compression artifacts. Gradients especially don't fare well. I used this to connect a stick PC to my computer to view its screen without having to fumble around the back of my monitor. It worked great for that but the background's gradient was blocking and the response time was definitely slower than using a regular monitor. Not a big deal if you're just using the command line but it's definitely worth noting.I did try to use this on Linux and both my camera app and OBS on linux didn't want to play nice. They would show a still image if they showed anything at all. I was able to get it working using ffmpeg though after figuring out which chipset it was using lsusb.Overall this is a great addition to a tech bag or if you want to pull a screen off of a server without having to lug a monitor around. I'm not sure how well it would work for a camera live feed but for a desktop feed it is good enough to get work done.

It couldn't be simpler. No setup at all, just plug it in and select it with twitch studio like a webcam. Had me streaming retro console games in seconds.
