Started flickering on and off intermittently after about a year of light use, and then totally failed soon after. Confirmed there was not a problem with my DP cables or 5V supply.

I bought it so that I could share my monitor with my PC and work laptop. It works as intended and it was cheap. No complaints.

Have one laptop using Windows and the other using Linux, this would not work with the Linux box so I sent back. This other switch by TBDISYYDS worked for Linux https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BXHKK94J?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1

The Vilcome DisplayPort Switch is exactly what I needed for my setup. I use it to switch the HDMI output from my RTX 4090 between my iRacing sim rig display and my second monitor on my desktop—something that's necessary since the card only has one HDMI out.This switch works flawlessly. It's truly plug-and-play, with no noticeable latency or loss of signal quality. The one-button switching is simple and effective. For anyone dealing with similar output limitations or looking for a hassle-free way to share a single HDMI out between two displays, this is a perfect solution. The only thing I don't like is the required USB power input, but it's a minor issue. Highly recommend!

I needed a way to add 2 monitors to a single CPU to create two different work stations. With a wireless keyboard and mouse this switch allows that. A simple touch and the screen switches. (not both at the same time)

Worked fine for 6 month. Stopped recognizing input and developed flickering and lines on the screens. Replaced with another product with the same setup - no issues since.

REASONING: if you run 60hz it works perfect, if you run anything over that there is black screen issues. Just the sign of a bad product. Had to switch the display port cables with multiple different display port cables of different size and age just to get a signal on the monitor, then after all that it still flickers black. And yes, I did use the recommended display port cable. If you are not part of the geek squad then dont buy it.
