I started off my Dewalt collection with their 18 VDC tools, and still have quite a few. I'm slowly buying 20 VDC tools and have purchased Dewalt's OEM version of this same adapter. This adapter's less than half the price and I can see no detriments to using it. If anything, it lays flatter against the tool than the OEM ones do. That makes it nicer to be able to set down a tool without it tipping, or having clearance underneath it (hand held vacuums come to mind). Highly recommended.

I purchased several of these years ago. They work pretty well then started to drop the batterys. I figured it was normal wear so I just purchased 2 more. Right from the start the new ones will nor secure the batterys. Any vibration and the battery is on the floor, now I have 2 broken batterys .I put in my dewalt adapters and they are tight and stay tight. Spend a couple extra bucks and buy OEM.

Good, positive fit to all of my older DeWalt 18v tools. This Waitley 18v to 20v converter inserts and releases easily. I'm also happy with the DeWalt converter I purchased at the same time. The OEM is slightly heavier and possibly sturdier, but the release buttons are extremely stiff and very difficult to depress. I prefer the Waitley.

I have both 18 and 20 volt DeWalt tools - and it was time to purchase a new 18 V battery - did a little nosing around on Amazon - and I found this nifty adapter which allows me to use the 20 V Max batteries on the 18 V tools - it is half the cost of the DeWalt adapter - which in my research is more difficult to use - and this adapter has a USB port as well that allows it to charge your phone should you desire to do this. Super easy to use and I give it a 10/10.

I HATE my old Dewalt Tools because their batteries SUCK! The tools did find but batteries barely last 3-6 months and out of almost 20 batteries that I have only 1 still takes and holds a charge. I switched over to Milwaukee a couple years ago and the same batteries are still going strong. I did not want to buy another grease gun so I thought I would try this. IT WORKS GREAT! Run my Dewalt grease gun on the Milwaukee batteries all day long! I am a heavy equipment operator and farmer, I can go through 2-3 tubes of grease in a day if I am running multiple pieces of equipment and this adaptor lets me run any of my red batteries on the yellow grease gun. My only complaint might be ease of release of the battery pack. The clips are VERY stiff and sometimes takes a bit more effort than anticipated to release the battery or the adaptor from the tool (you have to pull the adaptor off the grease gun to swap batteries on the adaptor). Not a big deal but with greasy hands it can be an effort, not as easy as you would expect. Again, by no means a deal breaker! I may but a couple more of these and dust off the yellow tools again.
