I got the purple one in a small. It looks like the picture and is very warm. You can even take the fur and hood off if you want.

I love this coat and the detachable fur hood. I keep it on to be extra but it’s super cute and kept me warm in Colorado mountains. I love all the extra pockets and it’s insulated well.

I wore this jacket on a ski trip to Utah and it worked out amazing. I am super sensitive to the cold and had never been in snow let alone 17-degree weather. I wore this jacket layered for skiing and by itself with a simple shirt underneath for walking around and both times I was comfortable, dry, and super warm. I love how fashionable but FUNCTIONAL this jacket is. The hood is detachable for a different look and the fur collar is also detachable. The jacket fit pretty fitted but I didn't mind as I was still able to layer. The inside mesh pocket was perfect for my phone and to-go tissues whilst skiing. Go for your usual sizing for a tucked-in look or go for a size up if you want it to be roomy.

This coat is amazingly warm. I pulled the fur off because it seemed to just be in the way. It is well made, nice deep pockets, and probably fits as expected. For me, I don’t like clothes that are too restrictive. I cannot wear a heavy sweater or sweatshirt and this without feeling like the kid in Christmas Story. It’s bulky and I cannot move easily in it. But I’m 5’4”, 200 lbs and ordered an XL. I can zip it closed around my bigger hips just fine. I gave another (different brand) long XL coat to my daughter because she spends time outside with her students and needs the leg coverage more than I do. That coat was just as warm and wasn’t as bulky. I’m keeping the coat because it does work. My only other complaint is the zipper isn’t two-way. When I’m driving, I like being able to open the bottom…again…it’s because I don’t like feeling confined. I don’t think I would get a larger size because it will just be even more bulky.
