I would have given this a one-star rating but that would not be fair since it can do what they claim under certain conditions. The connection "line rate" must be over 40Mbps for the adapters to operate correctly. In my case I had it connected to a smart TV. It would occasionally cut out (buffers) due to a line rate of less than 40Mbps. The unit has an LED light that lets you know when your line rate is less. The only way I could get my line rate above 40Mbps was to have the adapters connected to the same circuit (same circuit breaker in the electrical panel). This is not possible in my situation since the adapters are located on different floors and circuits. I just wasted $70. Check your desired outlets before buying to make sure both outlets are on the same circuit, or run the risk of having faulty service.

So, buyers beware. The ONLY reason, and I repeat, the ONLY reason this gets two start is ease of installation. It took me all but a couple of minutes to get it going. However, I should have been more cautious of the reviews. 2000mbps is a laughable claim. My IP is able to get 1000mbps. I couldn’t even get 90mbps with the wired connection. My 5GHz wifi gets at least 200 on rough days. Returning this product at a 2000mbps rate though. Don’t waste your time people.

It only registers at 100 mbps. Not 1200 mbps as advertised.

Claims to provide 2000Mbps and on touch install but took me several attempts and resets to get it working. Once it started working i could see it work only at 40mbps where as my home wifi provides upto 400mbps. Connected directly to the AT&T fiber modem/router still no luck. i wouldn't recommend.

This is a very good product for extending a home network. We use it to bring ethernet into a bedroom that is on the other side of our water heater and HVAC closet, so gets poor WiFi. It's usually fast enough to get the full 100 Mbps speed of our uplink. It will work perfectly well out of the box on 99% of home networks. This product also supports advanced features like VLAN filtering, QoS, IGMP/MLD snooping, and IPv6 support that you'd find on more advanced switches. However these features are difficult to navigate and use due to a lack of documentation. NexusLink provides a user guide on their website but the descriptions of options can be very brief. I'm sure that network professionals would be able to navigate these settings perfectly well, but home users who know just a little about these features (like me) need a little more information from NexusLink's user guide. The user guide also says that the device uses DHCP mode by default, but the product I received used a static IP of 192.168.0.5 by default, which made finding the web interface more difficult.

We previously used a set of power over Ethernet (POE) 1200 AV2 type adapters to provide internet in our workshop which is 400 feet from our house for which the signal had to go through two electrical breaker boxes. This adapter set worked ok, but everytime the shop lights or electrical equipment was used electrical noise disrupted the signal. Due to having issues with receiving WIFI in a studio in our house, we decided to update the current POE to the Nexuslink Wave 2 G.hn Powerline Adapter. After reading all of the reviews associated with 2 G.hn technology it was hoped that this would provide better throughput in our studio and the workshop. Specifically, one adapter is connected in a A/C outlet next to the router in one end of our house, the 2nd is connected at the other end of the house in the studio, and the third is connected in the workshop. Setup was simple. After plugging in one after the other and ensuring each are connected properly, I pushed the security button on the adapter near the router first for 10 seconds, then repeated the process for the other two adapters. The one in the workshop connected instantly with no issues. The one in the studio (in the house) needed for me to once again push the security button on the adapter near the router for 10 seconds again and then repeat the process on the adapter in the studio. It then connected with no issues noted. The throughput in the studio is fantastic! With the wireless adapter the internet speed was slow, but with the Nexuslink GPL-2000PT-kit the speed was obviously faster! The adapter in the workshop is better and have not experienced any signal disruptions yet. However, since the signal has to go through two breaker boxes the connection speed seems to be faster. Lets hope the 2.Ghn technology performs better overall there. I am happy with the units, its an affordable way to get internet to remote areas that are on the same electrical circuit. I recommend these!
