When I was looking for an affordable halter for my Lemieux hobby horse I thought that maybe a goat halter would fit perfectly so I looked around Amazon and found one that seemed nice. It was very affordable in comparison to other hobby horse halters so I got the large one and gave it a try. Once it arrived it fit PERFECTLY and was very high quality and sturdy. It fit Temmie (my hobby horse) absolutely perfectly and it will definitely work for a upcoming event.

I ordered this for a lamb. Well made, but too small. I returned.

The reason I gave it only 3 stars is because the sizing is very weird. We have Kathadins and it said it would fit an adult. The nose piece is fine and I like the way it crosses under the chin but the head piece is way to short. Our sheep are not huge and it's 3-4" too short. I had the small but I don't think a med would even fit. Maybe a large but the measurements for that seem like the nose and cheek pieces might be too big. Think I'll pass.

I am very happy with this product. Based on the reviews I thought it was going to be to big, but it wasn't. The small size fit my 60 pound boer goat perfectly and it fit a 100 pound boer goat and a 90 pound boer goat. It could go smaller and it could go biggger. Plus if it was too big there is room to punch holes so it will fit smaller goats. The material is heavy duty and the price is great. It works great for teaching your goat to hold it's head in a proper show postition and teaching it to stand. I highly recommend this product.

I bought the Pygmy/ dwarf halter and this halter fits my 4 Nigerian dwarf mixes perfectly. My smallest (8 month old male Pygmy & Nigerian mix) weighs just about 80 pounds and fits the smallest rung perfectly while my biggest (2 year old male Lamancha & Nigerian mix)weighs just shy of 120 pounds and fits the largest rung well. They’ve also never seen a halter before so this was a great halter for them to simply wear and get accustomed to.

Love it. Definitely well made and tough, wish it were adjustable around the mouth though. I have a dog collar on my goat Jose Cuernos, which when combined with the halter makes an excellent tie out option when he’s grazing and keeps him out of trouble. He snapped the tie out cable with just the collar, but when halter used he won’t pull. Happy with the purchase, got one in pink too for when a girlfriend found for him!

Well made Sturdy halter, but it would do its job better if the nose band had a fully adjustable buckle instead of the criss cross design under the muzzle (chin). Sizing fits REALLY small. I ordered the Large and the largest sheep it fit on my farm was an 11 month old Suffolk bottle baby ewe lamb, who is small for her age. I could see so many uses on my farm for this training halter on older animals if Weaver offered this in larger sizes. Are you listening Weaver Leather? Also see a lack of Halter products for Large Suffolk Rams, whose nose band must be MUCH more generously sized then what is presently being offered. Prefer nice quality brass hardware including side rings for clipping lead ropes to.
