I had to replace the door latch on my travel trailer. This was a perfect fit to replace the Latch-it brand that came on it.It came with all new screws and strike plate. No alteration or mods were needed to the door.Took about 15 minutes to change it out.

and after just a few uses, it completely stopped working. Very disappointed with this purchase.

I have a standard 7’-5” x 18’ cargo trailer, and found that the lock had been fowling up lately.I don’t know if someone tried to jam the lock, or if it was just age, but it was definitely time for a new one.The first thing I noticed about this door lock is that there is more “plastic” material used, as compared to more “metal” in the factory installed set.The second thing I noticed was just how simple it was to install. LOL….The hardest part was my trying to line up the screw holes because I was too lazy to find my glasses, but once you get one started the rest simply follow along. The odd part about this door lock is that it’s two different keys for both the top and bottom lock. By odd I mean my factory installed ones use the same key for both locks, so who knows maybe this will be better?
Overall I’m pretty pleased with this door lock, I just hope that the material will stand up.As a point of reference my trailer is 10 years old, so that’s not too bad for one lock.

This product does not meet expectations. It feels cheap, performs poorly, and is nothing like what was promised in the description

The materials are mostly decent. I was slightly impressed with most of the build quality. Seemed on par with my existing lock in that department.I like the style of the key. Seems superior to the average camlock key, for example. But seems a little too lightweight for my taste. Would like to see better metal and plastic used on those. The screws for the plate on the door side need to be just a little longer. I can't get them to catch with the plate in between. Getting new screws for that.I'm giving it 4 stars because of the price. It may even deserve 5 stars for that. It slightly exceeds my expectations for a lock and handle for like 15-16 bucks. I'd personally rather pay more and get a better one with better keys, but if you're needing a budget option real quick, I seriously doubt you'll be disappointed. And, just a warning, if you've never changed out one of these, be prepared to cuss a few times. Will be helpful to have a magnet on standby if you're in the grass or low light, because you will very likely drop some screws in the process. It's not exclusive to this model/brand; they are all a pain.It might be a really tight fit, and you'll think you have to shave off a bigger hole, but you just shimmy it into place with a flathead or something. It'll go. Hope that helps.
