When they say you get what you pay for nothing could be more true. I work with a lot of exotic hard woods (Purple Heart) and it cuts through it like butter. The edge is still just as sharp after what must be 150 feet of cuts.

Whiteside is one of the high end makers of quality router bits. Quality, dependability, accuracy, and longevity count and Whiteside delivers. Personally my favorite router bits.

Whiteside makes the best bits out there today. This bit worked great on some common pine making dados. Nice clean cuts and no resin buildup.

I build a lot of jigs and fixtures using 1/4"x20 hardware for adjusting, so a slightly oversized bit like this gets a lot of use. First job was routing cast aluminum and zipped right through without any dulling or chipping. And like every Whiteside bit I've owned, no issues with vibration and plenty of carbide for when this finally needs sharpening.
