Depending on conditions this bait will fall off of your hook the second it touches the water. I use dough hook and the bait will still fall right off of those hooks. In a colder climate the bait does firm a bit and that really helps the bait to stay on the hook long enough to catch catfish. Yes it does catch fish but you may have to re-bait your hook more than you want to. This stuff stinks to high heaven and the less amount of times you are baiting up is a good thing.

Ordered this thinking it was shad flavor as the picture suggests, but received cheese flavor instead. Not a problem though, I will test this out in the spring and summer. Container was larger than I expected too, so it should last quite a while!
