To be honest when I purchased this product it was by no means going to be used for surgical practice; however because the device is very easy to hold and use I decided to give my opinion for those looking for a scalpel handle that will guarantee better slicing control. This begins with my first year of using Wise to make precise and distinct cuts for my rolls, I began my cut from top to bottom and without loosing grip I was able to make clean breaks on the surface of my wraps. This allowed the substance on the inside to remain intact so I could easily dispose of it without the remains falling apart, if I were to somehow slip 'which never happened' I could easily adjust it back into position by slight finger rotation. Because the Wise Blade Handle I can definitely say that if you are looking for the feeling of being in control or a pseudo surgeon I recommend this handle. It helped produce the thickest and fattest doobies I could ever puff on.

The handle I received was never knurled as in the photograph, only had some rings around the handle. Makes it slippery to use.

I use scalpel blades to trim and cut plastic for models. Most of the standard blade handles were too thin to hold properly for the type of cuts that i wanted to use. This handle solves that problem. It is much higher quality that I had expected, which was a nice surprise. I am planing on buying 2-3 more just to have on hand with different shape blades. The only thing that I dislike, isn't so much with the handle itself. The blades are positioned so that a lot of the blade is sticking out. I've mostly used non-"rib-backed" blades, and they are somewhat flimsy. switching to the "rib-backed" blades solved this issue. Hope this helps!
