Finally got to use my Worx chain saw. I'm cutting a 8 inch maple tree that been on the ground for about a year. The saw sounds like a toy, but it cuts very well, light weight, easy to use, easy to assembly, and has a sharp chain. I got about 36 cuts, cutting each log section into a 12 inch length before the battery got weak. Swap out the battery and finished out my project. I own several Worx products, (weed eater, leaf blower, hand held drill, hand held drill driver) and they all perform very well. Worx is a brand that seems to perform well at a less expensive cost.

First chainsaw I ever owned, and it turned out to be a fine enough yard tool for the yard chores I had to do. Couldn't have been any easier to assemble (it takes less than 5 minutes). Too bad it doesn't come with bar & chain oil to help get you going right out of the box, so just know that after you complete your order you will need to run to your local hardware store to get a bottle of the oil so you have it on hand when your tool arrives at your door.I used it to cut twenty or so 4-8" diameter limbs off of the apple and oak trees in my yard, and then for sectioning them off in to 20" blocks for firewood. If you buy this product you should seriously consider ordering an extra battery. I only got 15-18 cuts per charge and then it takes 5 hours for the battery to cool down and recharge. Realistically you could get more cuts per charge with branches of a smaller diameter.Don't let the size fool you into a false sense of safety, as I remember wondering when I was considering to purchase this tool if I could operate it one handed? I would NOT recommend that, it is definitely a tool that is meant to be used and should be used with two hands at ALL times. Also, you might think that because of its light weight that it would be no problem to use from a ladder. Again don't be fooled into a false sense of safety, and don't tempt fate. Unless you're a professional arborist, I'd never use a power tool like this without having two feet firmly planted on the ground. Although the tool stops quickly (and locks in the off position) when you remove your finger from the power trigger, why take any chances by tempting fate? The manual offers several safety tips (requirements) that I would have never thought of so that was a nice little heads up to read through before I started my spring yard chores.

This is a lightweight saw that I used to cut redwood branches up to 5" in diameter, and the automatic oiling worked great for me. However, I only gave it 4 stars because the battery lasted less than an hour and took 5 hours to recharge. Unfortunately, I have a large amount of cutting to do and need longer battery life, so I returned the saw.

I'm only giving this 3 stars because the batteries are not interchangeable and the charger is not interchangeable. I purchased this brand because I have other yard Equipment of this brand,a blower, a weed eater etc. I wanted this to be seamless in my shed. Click on one battery and go regardless of what piece of equipment I using. Now.I'm going to need to label 2 different sets of batteries and 2 different chargers so we don't get frustrated every time we have to click it on the charge set. I don't know when they changed their battery/ charger set up but it is different from when I purchased my other items. I have attached pictures of said chargers and batteries. And the batteries look like they could be compatible , but they are in fact not compatible. The new chargers have more teeth. And you'll notice the little plastic Step that helps it click in place has moved over 1 space to the left on the new chargerIt's still a nice little item. I needed it to cut down a young tree and it did the job. It was easy to put together. But the entire reason I purchased this brand was the interchangeability which is not a factor and I would not have purchased this brand had I known. I probably would have gone with a dewalt like the hand tools that we have.

Great chainsaw!! I almost did not get this since other reviewers said the batteries are not interchangeable but the same battery in my Worx leafblower works with this and vice versa. No issues and very easy to use. I can see some people may want more power or want to cut through trees/ logs faster but for the price I think the performance is better than expected. 100x Easier than using an axe.I see other complains of the chain coming off. I havnt experienced this but the chain is sort of tricky to get it fully seated on the bar. It's really not too difficult but if you arent attentive to this Im sure you'll have the chain come off

It works great, you have to keep the chain tight but cuts very good & battery last a good while. I have an edger, hedge trimmer & blower all 20v . They all work great & are very reasonably priced. WorX make good products

Bought this for cutting up fallen trees around the acreage. Definitely not heavy duty, but very reliable, works well when needed, easy to use (I’m female) and my husband is impressed with how it performs and the price paid. It was a very good buy for us.

I have several other WORX tools, so it makes sense to buy a Worx chainsaw - all use the same, interchangeable battries. This chainsaw is lightweight, so easy to handle, and perfect for small trees, dead bushes, etc. I have always been afraid of using a chainsaw (how tight should the chain be, in what sdirection should it be installed, etc). This chainsaw provides enough graphics and text to alleviate these concerns. It's also got a great "tightening" feature which also removes some concerns. Obviously people experienced in chainsaws don't have my concerns and might consider this chainsaw as sort of "wimpy." But for me it does what I want without causing my immediate death!!!! The proiblem is the battery (or batteries): The 20V 2oh (included) lasts about 10 minutes!! So you need several batteries or at least one o two of the more expensive longer-lasting ones. And to charge the 2.0 battery takes 3-4 hours. Each Worx tool comes with one 2.0 battery and charger - so I have lots of them, but it is sort of a pain. If you buy the chainsaw be sure to buy chainsaw oil as well.

The chainsaw itself may well be a good unit but the purchasing and return experience through Amazon was totally unacceptable. I will never use Amazon again. The item was supplied with USA electrical plug not suitable for use in Australia. Despite placing the order on the Amazon Australia site, the item was supplied through a third party seller based in USA without my knowledge or approval. The process was time consuming and expensive. Amazon advised that, because the item was supplied through a "Third Party Seller" I was required to arrange and pay for the shipping and would be reimbersed when the item was received by the Third Party Seller. I paid AU$470 for the chainsaw, return shipping fee AU$350, what a total waste !!!

The saw does exactly as advertised: it is small, light and easy to use.I have used it on 1" -> 4" branches and it works like a charm, easy to use one handed. On anything bigger and it chokes up: we had a maple tree cut by the power company (it was dead) and I did a couple of ~16" diameter cuts. It takes a battery and a half to do one cut, but that is as expected.Only real worry is to see if it will last, if the saw breaks down in the coming year I will come back and reflect the changes in the rating.
