It stays in the ground, and holds tight, even when my Staffordshire Bull Terrier sees a squirrel and decides to bolt for it.

I bought this so my dog could hang out with me outside while I worked around the yard. Much better than just tying his leash around a tree. The cord and locks at the end are constructed very well. I like that there is a spring on one side because my dog will run towards other dogs all the time and it will lessen the chances of him hurting himself. The size of 16 feet is perfect for a smaller yard. The stake goes into the ground well. The handle color has faded being in the sun for a couple of months but that should hurt its performance. I like the bag that came with it that I store the cord in. I would buy this again.

The stake is easy to screw into moist grass and easy to move around the yard. The quality is mediocre as the latch doesn’t seem to close very well. This tether is fine for my small sized 25 pound dog. Overall the price is worth the performance I get from the tether but my dog seems pretty depressed not being able to follow me around.

Great quality! The carabiner is reinforced to prevent accidental unhooking. The spring loaded cable performed great when my dog took off to say hi to a golfer…The yank back wasn’t harsh!

This is what we needed to secure our very powerful big dog when camping. I am against keeping Dogs chain up all the time so don't get it if that is your plans and get rid of the dog to someone who will take proper care of it. That being said it's a great run lead for trips where you need your dog on a leash at all times. Like a picnic at the park or camping like we do. Only complaint is it shows putting the spring to the collar of the dog. The spring has sharp edges, is bulky, and heavy. So for the safety of your dog put it to the stake. The spring is great idea to absorb some of the snap when dog runs and reaches the distance of the cable. I do recommend this but not to tie dog up all the time in the yard.

He is little but likes freedom to be a dog. So this keeps him from sneaking out of the fence. Yes he fits in small places. This product gives him 30 ft of freedom while keeping him contained. We play ball while using this product too.
