This does not ground your connection, which is the source of the humming/static in your aftermarket radio or whatever you’re using. This is literally just a EQ high pass filter (for the most part) that cuts out low frequencies and some highs. It’ll make your setup sound worse than it did when there was a hum / static lolJust buy a grounded rca cable or a ground loop isolator with actual grounding cables that you attach to your car body. It’s not hard, I swear.

I purchased two of these for an aftermarket head-unit (through factory amp) experiencing extremely loud whine believing it was a ground loop.Without deep knowledge of electronics, troubleshooting this left me "throwing solutions at a problem".When installed, these units did reduce the whine significantly (~24db?), however, they inccur SERIOUS LOW FREQUENCY ATTENUATION.I've read that all GLIs behave as hi-pass filters (6db/octave), this device sounds like a hi-pass around 1Khz!If you have a standalone amp / sub setup, then no worries, but you might still need some EQ.Without another GLI to compare to, my review isn't necessarily fair, but I'd just like to warn anyone hoping for a magic solution.Build-quality is decent, rca connectors / cables are ok, but the board has lots of residual flux.
