Bought this to cut track on my N gauge model railroad. Works great- cuts flush with no filing necessary, just be sure you have the back of the nippers facing the side you want cut flush.This is Xuron model 2175B. Xuron sells the same nippers to some model railroad suppliers that use a different model #, but 2175B is the same rail nippers.I highly recommend these for cutting rail.

Great quality and durable. I use these for a lot of my crafting hobbies and put them through a lot of abuse. I usually have to purchase a pair once a year, but that's actually a compliment to its quality. I use these for way more than just plastic, such as wood, some metal, and other really tough material its not designed for, yet it cuts right through. If I used them as intended, they'd probably last a lifetime.

Much stronger than typical 4.5 inch diagonal flush cutters- these can handle serious torqueing. I cut one inch off the ends and sand down the drips to make them the same size as lightweight 4.5" cutters- i've sold 6 of these to co-workers already. I beat on these hard- they last. I can trim lightweight 30awg stranded, cut my fingernails, work/torque heavy wire ties, cut 10 solid copper with these. You will love these.

this is a great product much better then the tamiya baby nippers you get with there starter kit and even Excel Spruce Cutter 4-1/2 inch both of which i used and both broke because of how the nipper spring which is about as thick as a paperclip and looks like its made of one. the spring on this flush cutter is a small side lever witch will only brake if you pull it out or something gets wedged between it. its also has a very sharp edge and cuts very cleanly. the edge is also very durable since i have built 6 master grade gunpla (fazz, proto wing gundam zero ew; Gundam Fenice Rinascita, and Hyaku-Shiki+Ballute, gundam 00 Riser, Over Flag) and 5 high grade units (Elf Bullock,Crossbone Gundam Maoh, G-Self with Assault Pack(this things box is the same size as a master grade), Lightning Gundam,Kampfer Amazing.) 4 build parts (lighting back weapons system 1 and 2, red warrior weapons pack, amazing weapons binder) and 2 half finished Master grade units (jesta and crossbone gundam full cloth.) without the need to sharpen it were the Tamiya i had to sharpen after each Master grade i built. all in all this cutter is the best you can get and its not even the best cutter you can buy from them.
