Works great. Took a few tries to figure out how to get notified from the app but figured it out. They have a great line of products for a home you are away from some.

We have dozens of Yolink products and each do exactly as advertised. For this one specifically, it allows me to easily see via the Yolink phone app, whether our garage doors are open or closed. They were simple to "install" but I ran into some issues setting up the "Alarm Strategy" for these 2 devices. But no big deal because it has always been my experience that Yolink tech support is knowledgeable and will persist in getting a resolution; which did happen for me in this particular instance (thank you Thomas). (I just wish as a Canadian that the complete product line was available to purchase from Amazon Canada, which right now is not the case).

An add on to my existing Yolink system. I love this system and how easy everything is to set up and configure. With the modules, just scan from the App, and your off and running. I love that I can now know if I have forgotten if I forgot to close the garage door, either from a configurable alarm, and from just quickly checking the App, where the modules and nicely display in terms of condition and state. Love this system, will be expanding.

This is a review of the Garage Door Sensor.First, I am and have long been very impressed with the products that Yolink has available. I have the hub, multiple water and temp sensors and an automated water valve operational for quite some time they all have been working flawlessly for me. In the few times that I've had the need to contact Customer Service, they have responded very quickly even on a weekend with exactly the information I have needed.I recently received the Garage Door Sensor so that I could be notified if my garage door has opened while we were away from home. We use the door for UPS deliveries and we want to be sure that the door gets closed and hasn't "bounced" back open while we're out of town. The sensor takes only a few seconds to activate via the hub and the app with the QR code and a press of the "set" button on the device, and the app shows exactly when the door is opened and when it is closed. The app fires off a SMS, email and app notification when the door opens and when it is closed and I have visual confirmation on the app itself. It's just what I needed. Congratulations, YoSmart for a great product at a very reasonable price. So, I wanted to create "Scene" (that's what they call it in the app) where I can choose between no SMS, email notifications and only receive the app notification when I'm home using the garage door normally, and then being able to quickly choose a "Scene" where I'm out of town and want the whole enchilada of notifications when the door opens and when it closes with SMS, email and app notifications. The configuration of the "Scenes" became somewhat confusing to me, so I reached out on a Saturday afternoon to YoSmart Customer Service via email asking if what I wanted to do was possible and if so how exactly could I do it in the app. I told them that my request was not urgent, it could wait until after the weekend. To my surprise and to their extreme credit, I received a response later that evening explaining exactly what I needed. In a few minutes I had two "Scenes" created doing exactly what I wanted with the selection of notifications based on my being home or away. Thanks YoSmart and Meisha, well done and much appreciated. I'm a forever customer and I'm very happy to recommend you and your products to others. IMHO incidents of great customer service needs to be told and retold as a thank you to them. Thanks. And to those who have the same question of how to accomplish the same "Scene" creations I'm including the directions that were sent to me by Meisha at YoSmart below. Thanks again, Meisha and YoSmart. Here are the instructions sent via email:Thank you for choosing Yolink for your smart home needs.First, you will have to isolate the garage door sensor in a separate alarm strategy then all the others in another strategy. On your alarm strategies page, please edit the two alarm strategies and enable all the three notification types—app, email, and SMS. Then navigate to the scenes page and be guided by this:At Home:>> New scene> name the scene> behavior +> alarm strategy> choose the alarm strategy you have set for your sensors> advanced settings> ensure that all the notifications are enabled> save> confirm> behavior +> alarm strategy> choose the garage sensor's alarm strategy> advanced settings> enable only the app notification> save> confirm> tap the check at the upper right to save the Home sceneAway From Home:>> New scene> name the scene> behavior +> alarm strategy> choose the alarm strategy you have set for your sensors> advanced settings> ensure that all the notifications are enabled> save> confirm> behavior +> alarm strategy> choose the garage sensor's alarm strategy> advanced settings> enable all the notification types> save> confirm> tap the check at the upper right to save the Home sceneShould you be needing further assistance, please let us know.

I wish I had access to all their security items 10 years ago when my house was being built. After a $5000 investment in wiring and equipment and I still didn't have to full protection I needed. These Yolk Security items both supplemented and filed the gaps in my security.Only issue is the Yolk Finger which opens and closes your garage door remotely. Not available on the Canadian Amazon site and I had to order from Amazon US. First one didn't work but a replacement was sent and instal was simple.

After accidentally leaving my garage door up when I left the house, I looked for a reliable good and simple device to tell and even alert me that the door is open. Yolink to the rescue, I have several of their thermometers and they have worked well, so I thought I'd give this a try. So far so good, It has plenty of range to connect to the Hub which is at the other end of the house. Installation was a breeze. it just worked out of the box. Cleaned the door with some IPA and peeled off the cover from the double stick tape, slapped it on the door, held it for 30 seconds and I was done. It triggers when the door opens and again when it closes. I get two notifications for each cycle of the door. What more could I ask? BTW- it does allow SMS and E-mails but they are limited qty of those per month, which I understand. So just having the notifications is fine. I have my phone on me, so not a problem with not getting an SMS or e-mail I'd buy this again, and may consider some of their other sensors in the future. I like the range of their equipment.

I'm totally blind. I got this sensor for my garage door. The reason I got it is because it uses AAA batteries and not other type of batteries that you may not be able to find at a normal grocery store. I just got my garage door replaced and the sensor on the old door only lasted about 10 months before the battery died. So I thought I would give an different brand a go and see how it does. I plan on keeping the old sensor! But I'm not going to put it on the new door or put a new battery in it until I see how this one does.Anyway! I got this sensor. The first thing is when I got it out of the box! It is rectangular in shape. There is a button near one corner of it along with a LED that I could feel. It also feels like there is a large sticker on it. Now I felt all over it looking for the battery door and couldn't find it. So have no idea of how to get it open to change the batteries. I was hoping it wasn't like some of the other sensors that YoLink carries that you have to take apart to be able to change the batteries. But at this point, I thought oh! Let's see if it works and I worry about the batteries later. So Went into the YoLink App and remembered I had to go down to the 3rd button or so for ADD Sensor being the buttons aren't labeled for a totally blind person using Talkback screen reader for Android. Got the sensor online and configured to use the DEFAULT profile to send me a alert on my phone and Email for when the sensor thinks it is Open and Closed. Now to determine how the sensor would go on the door. The instructions on the web site isn't useful at telling a totally blind person how to do this. It says keep the arrow pointing to the right. Well being I can't feel an arrow that isn't any help. So I just held the sensor like it would be when the door was closed until the App said it was closed. Had to turn the sensor 90 degrees a few times before it said it was closed. Then I tilted the sensor like the door just opened and the sensor reported open. So basically if you put the sensor on the door with the button in the Top Right corner then it will report correctly. Now back to the battery! I was darn determined to find out how to get to them. I ended up getting out a SIM card removal tool being it has a fine point on it. Started feeling around the side of the sensor to start out. No luck. Checked to see of the whole front face plate and side came off like it does on some of the YoLink sensors. Again no luck. Remembered about the YoLink Motion sensor as far as how those batteries came out. So started feeling around the label area. Nothing at the top or the side. Oh! Look at that! There is a little groove along the bottom. Used the SIM card tool to find the very edge of it at the very bottom and pressed it up! And managed to then get the cover to pull up. At this point, I figured I would see if this had the two screw wholes that the Web said it should have. Pulled out both batteries. Yep it has two wholes for screws. You can't feel them from the back side do to the sticky tape covering them. Put the batteries back in and put the cover back on. Retested to insure I didn't break anything. Things are working.I got it setup with Alexa and my routines for when the sensor reports Open and Closed and they are working as I want. Announces that the door is open and or closed. When open, it turns off the garage light switch and ensures that the garage deadbolt for the house is locked. When closed make sure that the garage door deadbolt going into the house is locked after 5 minutes. Now just have to put it on the door and see how it works in the winter and summer. I'm concerned it may not work in the winter being my garage isn't heated and it does get below 32F and can go above 104F in the summer and the range as far as temperature of this sensor. So if it doesn't work, I'll come back and update my review. But if it works in the winter/Summer I'll leave my review as is.P.s. a few other places this sensor may work. If you have a dryer that has a door that opens downwards! This may work. If you also have a dishwasher that has a door that opens downwards again this may work. This could help some people remember that item is open so that they don't hopefully walk into it. Keep in mind if using in either one of these two cases! The heat could impact the sensor.
