The Zodiac R0445900 Debris Filter Basket I ordered to replace the original one in my Jandy Stealth pump is a perfect fit. I was worried at first because the shape was slightly different, but it slid right into place, seems to be a quality product and cleans up easily! Definitely a great buy.

This new designed basket solved a major design problem in the original style. The original one would clog the suction port of the pump because the basket was straight down. This one being tapered, allows suction to go all around it without just one area getting clogged. This provides an excellent pre-collection area so debris don't go all the way to the filter. Excellent design!

My system went in around 2008. The manual said to order these. I noticed they were slightly oval and had fins. Mine were not. They were like a straight tube. When I got them, they would not fit because of the fins. However, there were no other options. So, I cut the fins off, and they went in fine. Problem solved and I saved a nice chunk of money.

First, let me tell you that I was cautious in ordering it because it is called Zodiac instead of Jandy. But, I assure you it fits my Jandy pool pump.This is a great improvement over the original basket. The original split because it had limited space for the water to flow into the pump. When it became clogged with small leaves that had made there way past the skimmer baskets or through the main drain, the water pressure became too great, and split the basket. This new design moves the basket away from the pump inlet, and allows water to flow all around so no single point in the basket has to take the water pressure. It is also much easier to position when putting it into the pump housing. And, lastly, it is much easier to clean, and only requires a rinse with a garden hose. The old one often required tools to remove particles that has imbedded themselves into the small square holes in the basket.Had I known of these improvements, I would not have waited for the old basket to fail before replacing it.
