I have a shorter tank made for tarantulas, but it still hangs down at the perfect level! It's more adjustable than I originally thought, so this stand would work for a myriad of other tanks, setups, and other uses.I only gave four stars because it is slightly cheaper quality than I expect, but it is still metal as I expected. Just some small bending, and worse screws than I expected. Otherwise, very good product!

Looks good and fits properly, I think it’s better to use something like this to avoid letting your reptiles touch the screen and the light being on it and burning them

They say it's good for a 20 gallon long tank, but I would honestly like it to be a bit taller. It keeps my lamp just above the top of the tank at full extension. Aside from that, it's great: super easy to put together, sturdy enough for what it's made for.

This is a great, simple stand! I use it with a Powersun 100W bulb and a Flukers Mini Sun Dome. Initially the lamp was sitting on top of the screen, but would get bumped and occasionally fall when I opened the hinged screen. Nerve wracking when the bulbs are $50 each! This didn’t come with instructions, but took 30 seconds to assemble and maybe 1 minute to adjust and secure the cord. Now the light is just millimeters away from the top of the tank but I don’t have to worry about it crashing to the floor. Super happy with this!!

This stand was within my budget, and has been holding up my leopard gecko's lamp for about 6 months now with no issues. It's obviously not the fanciest thing out there, but it does its job great.

It’s exactly what I needed to heat my two side by side terrariums!

The stand does what I need it to do, but the "small" size of the stand claims it can extend up to 12" on the top arm. It definitely can't. Max is 9" unless you count the hook and then it is 10". There is a hole where you have to insert one of the screws to tighten up the furthest bit of the arm after extending it but the hole is located about an inch from the end of the furthest part of the arm, so you lose an inch of extension. So in reality, even if the hole on the furthest bit of the arm was placed at the very end of it, you would only get 10"/11" w/hook of length.

Eccezionale!

This stand is simply brilliant. Such a simple device but really great. Assembly is a no-brainer, you just insert the screws and tighten them. Make sure you screw them tight so nothing wobbles. The hook part goes all 360 degrees around so you can put the stand anywhere and the lamps don't have to be alligned with the base. The base is also very sturdy. I did ask a question before buying this stand about whether it needs to be weighed down, and I must say that if you hang the lamps on the side of the base, my 3-feet-long iggy can't tip it over if he tried (he doesn't). Of course, for extra safety, expecially if you place this stand at a height, like on a bookcase (where iggy likes to bask), you should place something on the base to make it more stable - and you should definitely do that if you're going to hang the lamp in such a way that it 'faces away' from the base, because then the lamp pulls the stand to the other side. I use a relatively heavy leftover floor tile to keep the base down and it works like magic. It marks the spot for iggy and does the job. The big stand extends pretty high, I was actually surprised about this, so it's good for bigger terrariums as well, not just the small boxes for turtles. And yes, you CAN hang the double mini dome on it without a problem (the double dome is also a genius thing if you let your pet roam free like I do my iggy in my room). I'm buying the small stand soon too. I love this, and even though I hate black, it looks very cool too.

I bought this economy sized lamp stand for my zoo med combo lamp. Prior to this lamp I could never get the temperature right in my tank for my Gecko, it was always too hot laying on the top screen. Now I can adjust it to perfection, and get the temp just right from the top(yes I have an UTH). The stand is built very strong, and do not let the economy size fool you. I have a 20 gallon long tank and its well above my tank. It has 3 adjustment knobs in various locations to help you raise/lower the height, swivel the lights left/right, extend the hook in/out. I could not be happier, this is an EXCELLENT and MUST HAVE product if you have a Leopard Gecko or any other reptile.

No instructions included with this item. Apparently you put it together using the picture on the box. Moreover, I'd like to know how to make it work with an extremely low-wattage Zoo Med Daylight Blue Reptile Bulb, which is for light only, not heat (for fire-bellied toads). It's an elongated bulb for use in horizontal fixtures. ::sigh:: This is turning into a major project for something that should be simple.
