Works great in my Unifi Switch. I’m using this to connect my NAS to my network at 10Gbps. Everything negotiates correctly, the only downside is that it does get a little warm, but there is so much airflow in the rack that I’m not really concerned.

Works fine, gets hot (expected and normal for these), and you should plan on using it in a router/switch which has active ventilation, though a well ventilated rack is sufficient.Clicks in and works with the off brand and mikrotik switches and routers I use.

This is awesome for poe cameras and the sfp port is a nice and surprising inclusion at this price point. The manual is fairly useless, but it's an unmanaged switch so I never needed the manual. Plug and play.

The BAD:1. For some reason I have to press rather hard to get the RJ-45 plugs to stay in. Tried with several different ones to confirm. No problem clicking in and staying, just don't click in too easily is all. Minor annoyance, and not a showstopper.2. I can do 1G or 10G. Can't do 2.5G or 5G. That may be my gear, but not sure. The GOOD:1. Works with (that I had to test with) Ubiquiti, Sonicwall, Netgear, a Startech SFP NIC, and an Intel SFP NIC.2. Detects and switches to 1G or 10G without worry.3. Got full 10G speeds at 45ft on regular CAT-6 cable. Full 10G at 92ft on CAT-8. That's all I had to test with for length. On short patch cables, saw 10G speeds on all cables CAT-6 and up.4. Gets warm, but not overly so like some I've tested.5. Ran for over a week now on 10G and it's been performing perfectly.

This 10Gbe SFP+ to Ethernet module works as advertised. I tested with it connected to both a 1gbe and a 2.5gbe switch (unfortunately my network is only a 2.5gbe network- I don't yet have any 10Gbe switches). It was able to negotiate at 1Gbe and 2.5Gbe speeds without issue. I even tested it in a 1Gbe SFP slot in an older TP-Link managed switch that only supports up to 1Gbe in all the ports (including the 4 SFP ports). It was recognized and ran at 1Gbe speeds without issue. However, as could be expected, if I connected it via Ethernet to a 2.5Gbe port on another switch it would negotiate a 2.5Gbe connection but the switch (being that the SFP port only supports 1Gbe) would not allow traffic to flow. That is not an issue with this module- just that the switch didn't know what to do with a multi-gig connection like that. So just keep that in mind if you happen to plug this in to a switch that supports less than 10Gbe speeds- it will only be able to operate at the max speed the switch can manage (even though it will try to negotiate a wire speed higher than what the switch can utilize). Hopefully that makes sense. It does get warm- but not more than any other SFP+ to Ethernet module. Build quality is good and I had no issues with removing it from any of the SFP ports I plugged it in to. Just flip down the release and it will pull right out as expected. Also, there are no LED indicator lights on the module itself- so your switch will need to provide that (if you want/need indicator lights).

Unfortunately, this transceiver does not support Wake on LAN. I have two others that do that were no more expensive (at regular price) than this one. Otherwise though, this thing works quite well. It does get smoking hot, but they all do. I had no problems getting it to work at 5Gb & 10Gb in a couple UniFi & Cisco switches with expected throughput. I have already seen this on sale for under $30 which is a pretty good deal assuming you don't need WoL.

Update 12/18/2024I tested the POE router with two Amcrest POE Cameras IP5M-B1276EB1-CAT6E100FT1 and IP2M-841E. Both cameras worked fine. I left the IP5M connected overnight and it went into night mode (black and white) but didn’t go back to day mode. I think this is a malfunction of the camera and not related to the POE router. The manual included is extremely un-useful. It covers 7 different routers and never clearly talks about any particular router. There is a sliding switch on the front that has three options VLAN – Off – Extend and I couldn’t find any explanation in the manual as to what this switch does.I did some searching and found out that the extend option can be used to enable the router to deliver power/data to/from POE devices (like cameras) for up to 250 meters (or 820 feet) however it will slow your data rate down to 10 mbps. The switch does a good job.I don’t like how the LEDs blink on the ports. There is only one for each port and it blinks a fast green blink when a device is connected.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Original Review 12/02/2024Since the documentation on this stated that it was able to deliver high power, I tried it with four “REVODATA Gigabit PoE Splitter 12V 2A Output with IEEE 802.3af/at Standard Compliant 10,100,1000Mbps Power Over Ethernet Splitter Adapter for Security Camera CCTV Surveillance 5.5x2.1mm DC PlugPS5712TG”. These devices need allot of power at least 23 Watts. This router is rated at 65 Watts and this router can support three of theseRevodata Devices but not four. I have a router with four of the Revodata devices currently on a different router.I need to test it with other devices.
