Relatively easy replacement. Only had to drill new holes to screw the male plug to the boat floor. The package comes with butt electrical connectors which replaces "splicing" to the existing wiring. Recommend using heat shrink electrical tubing if you can. Otherwise crimp the butt connectors and wrap tightly with electrical tape.

This extractor was a great buy. I bought my first extractor in 2000 and it was similar but this one had way better features. I loved the 2 safety shut off features. As I started with my first extraction I looked for the extractor to wobble some, but the legs are built very well ,and ran smoothly. For a small bee keeper this extractor worked great for my operation.
