All three pieces showed very different temperatures when placed in the same item. I threw them out.

I burnt the lead on the probe that came with the Expert Grill Deluxe Grilling thermometer. The plug fits correctly, but beware that the probe itself is quite a bit larger than the one that comes with the Expert Grill. It doesn't bother me at all and the probe appears to be accurate based on ice water / boiling tests.

After killing way too many thermometers in one season of sugaring, these seem to solve my problem. I'm using them both on the evaporator and the bottler. The curved stem is great to keep it below the sap or syrup when it gets low. I plug it in to a Thermpro digital thermometer Walmart carries for $15. It has been the thermometer that has held up best and stayed accurate beyond the more expensive ones I've tried. The long cords on these probes ensure I can keep the digital thermometer out of the heat and steam that kills them so fast. I've only had to use one of the probes so far, and it's been several boils, so they seem to hold up well.

These are way higher quality than the probes that came with my KitchenAid and Taylor thermometers - the metal sleeves are tough and the probes are double pinched at the top with a gasket. All three reported same temps and worked with both thermometers.

One of the three I received doesn't work but, the price for two is still a good value for replacement sensors.

As far as I can tell, both through use and the sheer availability of replacement probes these probes should be regarded as consumable items. Purchased for use with a Taylor thermometer, temps seem accurate both boiling and freezing. These probably would last a lot longer if used in an oven for roasting. However, when using on a grill the cable is susceptible to failure if you get a flare up or the cable gets pinched in the grill cover. Best price I could find for three, the three probes lasted me over a year with fairly frequent usage.

When I plug each one in, they immediately read 40-50 degrees higher than the actual temperature. I've tried them in different thermometers, and I still get the same result. Not worth the money.

update: after about 7 or so months and about 15 uses all three are now reading HHH, wish someone made some that last a little longer, the price was ok for the quality, but id rather have something i can count on.bought this set of 3 and it arrived in a few days, just in time for the 4th of july cookout, put the meat on the grill, left for about an hour, came back, put the probe in, seemed to work fine, checked it again 20 minutes later the display on my unit had HHH across it, so i grabbed one of the spares, worked for 4 hours with no problems, then after i was done, i cleaned everything up, took the 2 good ones and plugged each on in to make sure they were good, one read 73, the other 77 in same room, same environment so now im not so sure if the temps are correct when im cooking. would probably buy again as its better than nothing and the price is fair and the shipping was fast.

I ordered this to replace probes on my Cuisinart meat thermometer. It definitely fits as far as the jack is concerned. Sometimes get erratic readings so I am not sure if this will work or not. Haven't used it in a cook, but just when plugging in the probes. It is not advertised as fitting the Cuisinart unit with the fold back stand. Cuisinart representative told me that they have no replacement probes for their meat thermometer.
