We liked the carafe at first, but it quickly split at its base. Since this didn't impact the inside, we ignored it. But now, about 4 months after purchase, the inside is rusty and the coffee tastes bad when we put it in the carafe. We have followed all the instructions for cleaning it.Sadly, not a good product. Only 4 months of use.

I purchased 3 of these for church use. They are so classy looking, hold a lot of creamer and keep it cold. So glad I purchased.

The top part (the spout and lid) is "chrome" coated plastic, NOT stainless steel!!

do not hold Carafe while pouring hot liquids into it!!! liquid runs down the handle! Just looks good

I like the size and style of this carafe. The top takes some finesse to close and you have to push the lid back to make it stay open for filling. Sometimes, right after filling, the top will pop off (pretty loudly) and it has to be reseated again to keep in the heat (usually only does this once). The entire top is made of plastic, coated with shiny paint so it is sort of defeating the purpose of my purchasing stainless. I'll still use it for a while but would not purchase this again.
