Product Reviewed: 35PCS Carbide Lathe Tools Carbide Inserts for Wood Lathe Turning Tool for $23TL;DR; Replacement Inerts for wood turning kits; fine finish; economical packaging; spare wrenchesI have some wood turning chisels that fit these. The kit is pretty small and packaged in small sealed bags. It includes oddly enough two torx wrenches exactly the same size and one allan wrench. These inserts have a fine finish and look identical to the OEM gear.5 Stars no surprise and economical for this much carbide. How I review:Reviews start with 5 stars and I subtract points.- 0 for value but I try to provide guidance-0.5 to -3 for product not matching description e.g. stainless steel is actually plated steel-0.5 to -3 for product missing badly on executionI select products carefully so low (1-3 scores) are rare but detailed comments and critiques almost always are in the review. Most of my reviews come out 4-5 range. If possible I dismantle or destroy items to examine inner workings.

Don't use my lather as much as I want, and since I am no expert and not an expert on sharpening, I have grown to really like carbide inserts. I guess you can sharpen them if you want, but not necessary for the price. I also like that you can turn them to get more uses out of them. These are well made enough for the job, quality manufactored with a good fit and finish. They fit my tools as they should and they even give you a ton of extra screws. Also the wrench to change out the inserts.I do like the assortment in this pack, just about any one you could want. So far they cut well. I would not say they are the sharpest, I have name brands that do a little better, but again, for the price, they cut fine. One star off because there is not even a thank you note inside. Doesn't seem like they really care about their customers.Good inserts, great price, would recommend.

These are wonderful bits, but the handle is cumbersome. It does not seem to accept the chatter as well as wooden handles. I'm considering Turing a wood handle with the bits to improve their handling.
