These are nice tools. The inserts aren't the best, but I don't buy for the inserts. They are disposable. I buy for the holders, and these are well machined, precise. and durable. Great addition to the shop.

Tools are well machined, the mounting surfaces that the inserts ride on are flat enough, If you need a tool like this, this set will work! slightly smaller than 1/2" (0.470in/12mm). the inserts provided had no issues cutting mild steel or weld on mild steel with er70s2. Hardness on tool shank between 50 and 55 HRC.
