So - for a pretty basic item that you can get at pretty much any hardware store or farm supply type store, these have some real nice upgrades to them which I think definately make them worth the while.As far as overall construction, these really don't appear any different than any you may purchase at the above forementioned stores, but there are a few neat features which I think put these over the edge.First, the cable lanyard and ring to attach it to your trailer or implement is nice because I am constantly loosing these or looking for them whenever I need one. If you can secure it to wherever you need it, you no longer have to think about looking for it - winner in my book. The cable seems plenty long that you will be able to find a mounting point close enough to where you need to use it.Second, the end has what I will call a thumb grip to aid in opening and closing these. Not that they are hard per se, but the extra material fashioned to easily grab it to open in is a nice feature, one that I am sure will come in even more handy when wearing gloves.Finally - the fact that they come in a five pack is great.I would absolutely recommend these and will probably be getting some more.

I use coupler pins to hold the doors on my trailer ramps.These are slightly smaller than the ones that I typically use but they still work.I used to have to be careful not to drop the pins in tall grass as I loaded and unloaded the trailer.The cable on these pass around the frame and keep the pins in place so I do not have to worry about losing them.
