Over the years I have fashioned my own wire and pipe cleaner hooks to remove hair and debris from drains. My adult daughters have very long hair so when I visit them, I typically bring a drain cleaner and clean theirs too. To my surprise, my son-in-law wanted to know how I get the drain so clean so I ended up giving him mine so I just re-ordered and I have two more now. They’re simple to insert and to clean afterwards! It makes an otherwise unpleasant chore a snap to do!

So I saw this cleaning brushes and I thought how wonderful to clean out my bathtub drain. I've been noticing it's holding back a little water lately so instead of calling somebody to fix it for me I figured I would try it myself with these brushes.My first thought these brushes are very sturdy they don't twist and bend all up and fall apart which is wonderful the bristles themselves are very tough which that's something obviously that you might like for cleaning out a drain line, dryer lint return, under fridge or along side of stove...So the one thing I noticed when I was getting used to it and trying to bend it how I thought that I might need it bent for the drain line in the tub, I was getting a feel for it and I noticed the handle itself is really very small it's actually too small it's probably about half the size that it should be it should be twice as big I have small hands and it and it was even small for my hands.The one side of the handle was hollow so I kept thinking is this thing going to break in my hand on top of being so small that part of the bristles were touching the inside of my hand which is really sensitive so it made it really difficult to try to clean the shower the shower drain I'd say if you're not bending it at all and you're just going straight in maybe it's a lot better but if you have to orchestrate it with your hands it's really inconvenient I guess I could put a pair of gloves on and use it but the handle really does need to be very much so bigger so for this I'm going to take away two stars because the post I got in my hands was really inconvenient and how they have put two more inches on to it it would have been a lot nicer for the user.After some orchestrating and stop and return a few times I was successful in releasing my drain back to free flowing. So the brushes are helpful and I will next time buy gloves just for this use.
