- Widely used for computer, Power Transistor, Fet, Ic, Power Amplifier, Voltage Regulator, Scr etc.
- Please make sure that the size of the heat sink fits that of your component
- A heat sink is a passive heat exchanger that transfers the heat generated by an electronic or a mechanical device, thereby allowing regulation of the device's temperature at optimal levels.
- In computers, heat sinks are used to cool central processing units or graphics processors. Heat sinks are used with high-power semiconductor devices such as power transistors and optoelectronics such as light emitting diodes (LEDs), where the heat dissipation ability of the component itself is insufficient to moderate its temperature.

Although they are just temporarily mounted with CPU thermal paste and zip ties they are working good and keeping the inverter from throttling down in hot weather. Eventually I may drill small holes and tap them to screw it to the case.

I got an Alienware laptop and the external power supply was like 70C... it was really hot.So I got one of those 2 fan cooling device to put underneath, and it could get it to go to perhaps 35 to 40C, which is alright. (I use the lowest setting for the fans). With this heat sink, it is a little bit warmer. I'd guess it is about 42C to 45C... so it is not as effective as the fan, but acceptable.I guess I could put the power supply on top of this heat sink, and in turn put it on the fans. So if I forgot to turn on the fans, it'd still be taken care of.

My laptop connects to USB-C dock that connects to my double monitors, keyboard, mouse, and headset. The dock gets pretty hot and I was concerned that it would fail. I bought this heatsink and it sits on top of the dock, disapating the heat. Note this does not come with any adhesive. I've been using it for over a month now and it sits on top and does a good job. I can tell that the dock isnt as hot as it once was.

Nice piece of heavy Aluminum, did the job of cooling my router from 179 degrees to 130. Sat the router on top of this thing and set a fan blowing air thru the fins. Worked like a charm. Since the bottom of the router and bottom of this block are perfectly flat, I didn't even bother using thermal paste or tape.

This is a nice big solid block of aluminum that does the job perfectly for some applications.
