BeepEgg - The singing floating egg timer
Too hard, too soft – but never on point. A perfect boiled egg is a science in itself. Dead easy for BeepEgg, though. Simply store it with the eggs, boil it with the eggs and wait until BeepEgg sings.
Three tunes for three levels of egg doneness
Once yolk and egg-white have reached the desired degree of hardness, BeepEgg will play a tune. Each edition plays three melodies, each being signal for one level of hardness. These three different tunes will each be repeated several times to meet the egg sizes as well as personal fine tuning possibilities.
How does BeepEgg work?
BeepEgg constantly measures the outer temperature. With this data it calculates the core temperature of the egg. BeepEgg knows at which temperature each stage is perfect. Once the egg has reached the desired stage, BeepEgg will play a melody.
BeepEgg works at all altitudes and under all conditions. You can use it during diving excursions (you’ll need a submarine, though) as well as on the Himalaya or at sea level. Boil one egg or twenty at a time, start with cold or boiling water. BeepEgg is always on point.

It’s fun and works for hard boiled. I haven’t tried it with soft or medium boiled.

Perfect timer. I compared the cooking time using a different method, and my eggs were cooked exactly the timer "sang". Kids and adults would like this item.

I have owned 5 singing egg timers by Brainstream since 2016. The current one has worked the longest - 2 years. After a few months (2 - 24 in my experience) the singing component dims and lessens in volume. The egg still works but you can barely hear the song. I wish they had a good battery because we find the service invaluable, we love our egg. The next best thing would be a good warranty with easy return. This seems to be elusive and has me singing Auld Lang Syne.
