This is the only meter I own/owned but I can tell you this is a good one. Here's why: On a 3/4" thick walnut board, I place this meter down, I get a reading. If I place my hand under the board where the meter is, the reading jumps up. So this tells me I'm hydrated and that this meter really works!

Very handy for checking moisture around the house without leaving any marks. I used to have one years ago but it had pins and I had to poke the wall, piece of wood or whatever I wanted to check and I never liked the marks it left. This one is cleaner, and it allowed me to check a place in our back wall that I suspected for leaks, unfortunately only to confirm my suspicion. Recommended.
