Obviously hoping that I wont have to put this to use any time soon, but I felt it would be a good idea to have. Put it on all my cats to figure out how they would respond to it, as cones... never flew to well with them. Obviously, they were still bothered by it, but they put up much less fight to get it off, so I'd assume it was much more comfortable than a traditional e-collar, and much more comfortable to tighten as well. Even my least cooperative cat, who I couldn't keep an e-collar on him at any point after his neuter, didnt try to get it off, as much as he wasn't crazy about it.

We're fostering a mama cat and her kittens, about to get her spayed now that she's done nursing. She's a long, slinky cat averaging 12 lbs. Pay attention to the size chart for neck circumference because this seems to run large, though fortunately the drawstring lets you close it tighter than the minimum advertised. She's a lanky girl but the cone itself is also long, a lot of extension past her head. The cat hated it when we tried it on her, but what does that mean, she's a cat. It's soft to the touch like a windbreaker and gets the job done better than some stuff acrylic cone from the vet's.

unless you have a chihuahua, or really small breed for you pets, or you basically have a kitten...this is a "small" cone...I think the larger version is more standard size for most cats...it's connected via the velcro ... the work around at least for me is to get another role or larger piece of velcro and cut an extended piece to basically mend where they connect, so that there's more "neck" circumferenceelse asides from that, the materials and craftsmanship seems pretty good, only time will tell how durable it will be

I got a hard plastic cone from my vet because our cat has been excessively licking himself and it's becoming an issue. I got another soft cone collar for him which was a lot better than the plastic one, but he figured out how to get around the side of it to lick. So I picked up this cone, which isn't hard plastic, but is a little bigger and is designed to help prevent cats from licking themselves. My cat hates this with a passion, but it works.

I work with a rescue and we use a lot of these, this one doesn’t stand out good or bad from the others. Working for what we need so far, definitely for bigger cats though not a kitten.

My cat recently had to get stitches in his front leg. I thought this would be better for him than the one the vet sent home. It is, but I got the wrong size. He is a pretty small cat, so I would get a size up next time. I like the velcro closure as opposed to slipping it over his head. It is much easier to tighten than the ribbon on the plastic one I'm using. I would have ordered a bigger size, but by the time it came, he wouldn't need it anymore.

This is a cute, soft, comfy feeling cone, but it extends too far past our kitten's nose for him to even be able to eat his food. I'm sure when he is full grown this will work well, but this really isn't for little cats. It does adjust around the neck nicely, and it sure is cute.
