Perfect fit for my 10 year old Craftsman push mower with a Briggs and Stratton 450e engine. Easy to replace - 2 x 7mm nuts and 2 x 8mm nuts.Mower used to require 10-12 pulls. Now it starts on first pull.

Bought because it looked like a match for 799538 carb. It seems to be doing the trick and everything put back together well. Only difference I can tell is the unused gray barb fitting up top does not have a hole in it. On my poulon pro it was not connected to anything but it did have a little hole in the small barb fitting and was white. Seems to not need that. Working well so far.

Came in Briggs and Stratton box. Replaced carburetor and mower fired right up. Please note, although more expensive than generics OEM parts are the way to go.

OEM B&S carburetor. Was perfect match to original. Installation was correct as expected. Replacing the carb was the fix (for a very old, cheap in the first place, push mower)This part is plastic best I can tell and is a 'push on' fitment, so be prepared."MY" experience. Yours may vary totally but thought I'd add the following. Probably would have saved me a few minutes had I known how it came off:IF you are going to replace and can't figure out how to access what appear to be the two 'mounting screws' into what I'll call the 'intake manifold' (casting for head?), I don't think you CAN access them. Just get remove the air cleaner, the air cleaner bracket (4 screws, 2 different sizes....?). Disconnect the fuel line and gently 'pull/tug' straight off with the carb. it is just a 'slip fit', no bolts. Once somewhat disconnected, you'll have to twist the carb to remove the elbowed throttle linkage. The carb should be loose in your hand at that point.I had to add the little 'slot guide' (included or could possibly transfer from old' that guides it back into the air cleaner bracket. There are also instructions about installing the power valve or something to that effect, that requires removing the floats. I gave up on trying to figure out the 'why?' on that one and did nothing. Maybe you need to do that?After priming, mower started and ran fine. The old carb was full of trash most likely and easier to replace than try to troubleshoot every orifice, etc.Good part. Good seller.

The new carburetor fit right in any started on the second pull.Be sure to remove the old connecting washers from the engine before pushing the new carburetor into place.
