This works great with my Google Pixel and Android Auto. Instructions would have been nice as I did stumble a bit but finally figured it out. I do find it getting very hot during a car ride which probably is harmless but still makes me wonder. Works seemlessly though

I recently got the Carlinkit Mini SE Pro Wireless Android Auto Adapter, and I’m genuinely impressed! It took a few minutes to get connected the first time, but once it was set up, it just works. It seriously put a smile on my face knowing I NEVER have to use a wire to connect my phone in the car again. The connection is smooth, and navigating through Android Auto feels just as responsive as if it was plugged in. The build quality is solid, and I love that it works with both USB-C and USB-A ports. If you’re tired of messing around with cables, this adapter is a game-changer. Highly recommend!

Very convenient device, at least for Android Auto (I can't speak for Apple devices) but installation was a breeze and syncing with my hardware happened without any trouble. It's great that it has both standard USB and USBC connections, though I've never seen a car with the USBC port but knowing it can do it is nice to have. While the installation was actually very easy without instructions, I do wish the hardware came with physical instructions. Instead, it uses an IR code. While that is fine, the instructions online were a little lacking and actually didn't take me directly to the help files/manual. I still had to browse for it. It's not a show-stopper, but it's just not convenient.Overall, the device works great, is easy to install and use, and is a welcome addition to the car.

Overall:The Carlinkit wireless auto adapter offers a simple and effective way to upgrade a wired Android Auto or Apple CarPlay system to a wireless connection. With both USB-A and USB-C compatibility, it ensures future-proofing across different vehicles. While there are no included setup instructions, the pairing process is intuitive for those familiar with similar devices.Packaging and Setup:The adapter arrives in a standard card and clam-shell package. No instructions are included, but the setup is straightforward for those who have used wired adapters before.Performance and Experience:The adapter features both USB-A and USB-C connections, making it versatile for older and newer vehicle models without requiring additional adapters. The setup process involved turning the car to the accessory position, allowing my Android phone to connect to the car, plugging in the adapter, and pairing a new device via Bluetooth. The device appeared as “VehiConn_XXX,” and pairing was quick and seamless. Once connected, the voice call quality was excellent, and the overall connection remained stable without noticeable delays.Pros:Supports both USB-A and USB-CQuick and seamless connectionExcellent voice call qualityNo need for extra adapters for different car modelsCons:No setup instructions includedMy Testing & Rating Approach:I spend at least one week testing each product to ensure I can give a genuine, real-life assessment. Whether it’s clothing, tech, or hardware, I take the time to use the item as intended so my review reflects a true experience. Depending on the product, I may extend the testing period to cover all its features and get a complete sense of its performance.5 stars: Exceptional product that meets or exceeds expectations.4 stars: A quality product that I recommend.3 stars: An ok product with potential but needs improvement before consideration.2 stars: The product has significant flaws or shortcomings.1 star: The product is not recommended due to major issues.

The dongle is a bit long at 3" so it sticks out of the dash a bit, but boy does it work well. Doesn't come with a manual so you need to scan the QR code on the back if you want instructions on the pairing process; but it's so simple that you really don't need them. It's essentially plug-and-play so you plug it into the USB port on your vehicle and search the bluetooth ping on your phone. After it's paired, it'll automatically connect to the phone each time you turn on the car. No need to connect it each time, which is a massive plus. The only thing is that it takes a good minute to minute-and-a-half to pair each time, which isn't that bad considering the performance is very reliable.Speaking of, I've only been using it with my onboard Android Auto on my Toyota so I haven't tested it with Carplay, but it works flawlessly. Lag time is minimal too, although I have had the very rare connection drop on longer journeys. Feels like it works more reliably on journeys under 2 hours, and with a fully charged phone. And that's another thing. Normally when you plug in your phone, it's charging at the same time; but with this thing it's only pulling power. So even though I got one for my father, he's still having to plug his older phone in to charge which kind of defeats the purpose of having a wireless connection. I suppose that's his prerogative. But for me, I think this little gadget works exceptionally well. Don't even have to take my phone out of my pocket in order to have access to nav data and music. Kinda wish the dongle was a bit smaller, but at least you get good range on the thing. I can walk around the car to do an inspection or clean snow off in the winter and it'll stay connected. Very decent speed, reliable connectivity (mostly) and certainly convenient. Nothing not to like. A thumbs up.

I debated what to rate this. Couple things to know. Unlike the more well-known brand, this is entirely China based, designed, built, and maintained. If, like me, you have work-related security concerns, this is something to be mindful of. The Carlinkit app is atrocious compared to the other brands and apparently is used for many kinds of devices, not just AA. I mean, it is as varied as OBD2 readers, as well. At first, I got excited thinking this had some kind of secret OBD2 function before I realized it's a just that the app is meant for a wide variety of other devices. The problem is that the app is mostly geared towards those other scenarios.Other than that, unlike the AAWireless and Motorola (and some others), this is an all in one stick, as opposed to a dongle with a detachable or built-in cord. I personally like the detachable/corded kind because it allows for some flexibility and forgiveness if it bumped accidentally, which could lead to it breaking. The reason I didn't dock it too much for that, is because it has its use cases. For me, this means if I'm traveling and renting a car, I might use this as a quick low-profile device that gets me AA function without having to pair the phone to a new rental car each time. The downside, which I am still troubleshooting is that after trying this out, my car is having massive issues connecting to me original AAWireless2 device. I'm hoping I can figure that out soon. If not, and if it looks lke this did something, I will update the review.

I've tried a few of these now, and this one actually works for android auto in my 2019 Civic SI. As others have mentioned you have to make sure that you remove your bluetooth connection (in my case, I had to delete the bluetooth connection in both my phone and in the car). I also had reached too many android auto devices on the car, so I had to clear that out. Once I did that, it works great. It takes a bit to get started (approximately 30 seconds), but overall it's nice.

My car has a wired Android Auto only. This little adapter gives me the flexibility to change my connection to wireless. It does a great job but with some annoyances.Installation: You plug the adapter into your car USB data port (Type A or C). You then go to your phone and look for the adapter Bluetooth name (VehiConnxxx). You pair it with that. Once paired, the adapter will create a wifi hotspot and the phone will connect to that. Then it will automatically launch android auto on the car screen. This was all done within a couple of minutes with no glitches.Performance: I drove for an hour with the adapter installed. I had zero problems. My navigation and music apps worked just fine. I tried different voice assistant commands with no issues. No lag. Everything works just like it was wired.Phone Battery: Since the adapter is now using my usb port, and I don't have a wireless charger in my car, my phone is not being charged. I was worried that my battery will run out using wireless Android Auto through the adapter. For my 1 hour drive trip, I only lost 6 percent on my battery. This was with navigation and music on. Not bad. If you are going on very long trips, you might need to charge your phone once in a while.Firmware Upgrade: This was a very frustrating experience and I never got it to work. While connected to adapter, you're supposed to go to the adapter IP address through the browser to reach the interface and upgrade from there. This was not possible as you get a connection time out. The only way to do this is to disconnect from the adapter wifi and reconnect manually as per instructions, but that didn't work either. The adapter kind of hijacks your wifi and you can't connect to anything else. So I had to disconnect the adapter, delete the Bluetooth and wifi connections in my phone, then insert the adapter into my laptop and not pair it to Bluetooth but manually connect to the adapter wifi. Then, I was able to reach the adapter IP website. But then, the upgrade section was in Chinese. When you find the new firmware and hit upgrade, you're prompted to disconnect wifi and connect to mobile data to download the firmware. I tried this multiple times, but it always half way through the download. I gave up after a few attempts.Design: the adapter has an LED light that turns green when connected. With my setup, the green light ends up being at the bottom side of the adapter and I cannot see it. This might be different for each car depending on the location and orientation of the usb port.Overall, the performance of the adapter is great, but it's not for everyone, especially if you don't have a wireless charger in that car to keep your phone charged.

easy installation and quick start up. This couldn't be easier. I've had a couple of these (wireless android devices for my car). this one is easy to pair with my Pixel 6. I've had others that never seem to pair up. This one did it first try. Then when returning to the car it pairs right up without issue. Sound quality from my music apps is very good quality and the GPS (google maps) works great.

I had a large clunky carplay adapter prior to this. This one is about the size of a USB stick and really cleans up my dashboard area. It connects very quickly to my iPhone and delivers music and maps without any issues. Easy to configure and install (provided you follow the included instructions) but it is about the same as most other carplay dongles (in terms of installation)I recommend this product for the ease of use and small size.

Let me start by saying I am only testing this with an Android phone so if you have an Iphone this may not apply to you. With my job I drive 3-5 different vehicles every week. Different makes, models and years so in the last 2 weeks I have probably tried this on more vehicle that anyone else. I was quite impressed with how simple and easy to use. Just plug it into the car and them unlock your phone, grant permission and you are good to go from that point. Since I am using it on a different vehicle almost everyday I do need to go through the set up on each one but it has gone quickly each time. If you plug it into a previously set up vehicle you do not need to do anything, it just hooks up and goes. I have been testing it with Waze, XM radio, text and phone. It has performed flawlessly. The only issue I have run into so far is when hooked up to a Toyota I can not access my XM radio. The app is no where to be found. This could be an error on my part but having tried it on 3 different year Toyotas and one being a 2024 I don't think that is the case. Every GM and Ford product did great. It was like they had wireless Android auto from the factory. Some of the vehicles I tried it on actually had wireless but the unit still worked. The Acura I tried it on gave me a little trouble but that was all user error. The compact size and ability to use both USB_A and USB-C was a great design idea. The sound quality was exactly the same as if you had it hooked up with a cable. The only thing I would change is the color. A bright color would be great for me so it would be more noticeable but for the average user that would probably be a bad choice. I may just put a piece of bright yellow shrink tubing around it so i am less likely to forget to take it out.
