Works like a champ. I have a Konus 60x spotting scope that weighs close to 5lbs and a Konus tripod that came with a ball mount head. Not suitable for my scope (very wobbly) . I tried several other scope mount fluid type heads in this price range without finding one that would hold the weight. The Cayer 6 works great ....like it was designed for this combo. The Cayer 6 is advertised to hold up to 13 pounds and it works like a charm. Quality is very good and it has a very smooth action. I have yet to test in the field but, I have confidence it will work well.

It feels well built and sturdy. Ergonomically it feels good to grip and adjust the tension. The biggest issue I found is that the tension and resistance is too high.My objective in this purchase was to outfit a secondary tripod setup that mostly would be a loaner tripod to people who go out with me. I wanted to try multiple products to find a cheaper lighter alternative for my Sirui VA-5, which is my "go-to".If you are using this product mostly on level(ish) ground (not glassing or filming up or down slopes much) the vertical panning resistance won't affect you, and this product will be a great value. Likewise, if unlike me you won't be spending 12 hours daily in your glass on the panhead, this will be fine. However, a couple changes are (in my opinion) necessary.1) Unscrew the tension bolt for the horizontal "rotation" of the panhead and give that a blast of WD40 or some equivalent solvent to get that loosened up. It is otherwise WAY to hard to turn.2) Get some good low-friction oil or bearing lubricant. Sewing machine oil or "speed cream" or any other light lubricant will work. Work that in well and have a rag on hand to get the drips and excess that spills out the bottom.3) Get some threadlocker to keep it from unscrewing from your tripod nut when panning clockwise. These fixes will make this a very usable product. The value on this thing is exceptional, and the build quality is there, but it just lacks a little refinement that hopefully they address in future model revisions. These cheap little fixes could take this thing from "usable in the right conditions" to a more versatile product where the value could really shine.

I was a bit hesitant to purchase this head because I wasn't sure if it would be compatible with my K&F tripod. However, I'm glad to say that it fits perfectly and there is no wobbling or instability. This is my first time using a video head, but I'm very impressed with its performance and overall quality.

Super recomendado

For the money, these are a home run. Built well, small, seem very fluid. I haven't used these long term, but they seem to be rugged enough to be long lasting. I use these on monopods and tripods for wedding related videography. Their size makes them very easy to pack. I just bought another this past week.

I have a nice quality tripod for photography, and wanted a head that would work reasonably well for video on the same base. This one was priced reasonably and looked decent, so I gave it a shot. It's been working great! It's heavy enough to support a reasonable amount of weight, and easy to adjust to keep the camera stable while still allowing easy motion. The level bubble built into the head is really nice too; makes it easy to adjust the head separately from the tripod using a leveling base. I haven't had any issues with it; it's done everything I've wanted.

I use a mirrorless camera with small prime lens so this is perfect for video shoots that require small smooth movements , although the adjustment lock for the quick release plate hits the camera so getting a tight takes a little longer when switching tripods.
