Bought for a 2003 ford taurus."Simple" bolt on but difficulty level was probably a 6 plus. Takes, time, patience and a skillful ability with various tools. Not really for the average "down it yourselfer"....

Got this to add a carrier for my inflatable boat.PROS:- Fit perfectly on existing holes- instructions said to remove evap box - no need at all, it didn't even come close to it- very easy installation, EXCEPT see below. I did it by myself in 1 hr- very discreet, you don't even notice itCONS:- 3 bolts were in in 15 minutes. The last one, the bolt above the exhaust took me 45 minutes simply because of the awkward position. Be patient and it will work well.

Nicely built excellent paint coating. One of the Pre-drilled holes that mount to the end of the frame needed to be renamed to expand the hole out to the side three sixteenths of an inch. It's not a perfect match but close enough. If you don't have a buddy that has a service station and lift I can see where it would be frustrating for the shade tree guys.

PERFECT FIT (no drilling required) for my 2002 Ford Taurus. I'm very pleased with my purchase. It has suited my needs very well (towing a 4x8 utility trailer occasionally).It arrived on-time as promised and undamaged, although the cardboard box it came in did have minor damage to the box itself. If you have a Taurus of this model year range, THIS is the hitch for you! :-)

The item did not fit my car. The program used to find the correct hitch for my vehicle is flawed. It was not a perfect fit, it did not fit at all. I am a little upset about the whole deal because they sent me a hitch that did not fit my car when there program said it would and on top of that they charged me $30 shipping back to get a refund for a mistake on there end. It changes the way I will be buying things on Amazon for now on. I will say I got my refund fast but had to pay $30 for there mistake not to mention the time it took for installation only to find it did not fit..
