It has good power and battery longevity for most handy work. It will hammer-drill through tile, or bore through studs. This is a great everyday tool for light to moderate duty. Very light weight and handy.

As with all Dewalt tools it is top quality. I didn’t pay enough attention to it when ordered. This is a 12v tool. Looks just like the 20v I needed.

Very comfortable and powerful I like this a little more than Milwaukee just don’t like the over sized grip handles on RED’S 12volt line very uncomfortable to hold on the other hand Dewalt’s plastic 3/8” chuck is an old outdated design if I knew it I wouldn’t buy it .

So far zero issues and amazing battery life drilling half inch holes into steel wasn't necessary what this was made for but it sure did it and the light weight was nice. Hammer feature works well for drilling into concrete but I wouldn't use it all day for that. Mostly I prefer the hammer option whenever I buy a drill because it adds some versatility for virtually no extra cost over the regular drill

Lots of torque and speed for homeowners looking to fill out their existing Dewalt 12 volt systems. Lightweight, good for work overhead, drills just about anything. This is a bare tool, so no battery for this price. Buy a 5Ah battery for longer runtime.

A bit longer than the 12V non-hammer counterpart. But still compact compared to 'compact' 20V tool. I have DCD800 for comparison and this drill looks like a little cousin of the 20V drill. Of course, weighs waaaaay less than the 20V one.Sure it is not as powerful as the 20V one. Definitely not! I do not have high capacity 12V battery either. But in my opinion, 12V drills should not be mainly paired with high capacity batteries. Especially when you have 20V tools which can handle the powerful jobs. I bought this due to my deck is floating above ground, and even covered with some stony flagstones, more than 10 feet. So, dropping any power tool is not acceptable... And decks sometimes need odd angle drilling. In terms of weight and dimension, this drill fits perfectly to my use case. Although I'm just a weekend warrior, this home needs a lot of repair and planning in the time of crazy inflation. So, I spent my dough on good tools rather than hiring contractors which turns out to be a good decision with all the DeWalts.Power wise, definitely weaker than the 20V. But you can always gear down to speed 1 and I'm not exactly time constrained, unlike those professionals. I think I could have done all the projects I had with this drill but 20V was the first one I got. Being 12V is definitely a penalty in terms of power output. Yet, the power itself is well above for weekend warriors like me. So, yeah, if I'm going to buy the tools again, I'll definitely go to this one at first. And yes, having the hammering function helps a lot. I don't really need to hammer many holes at times. I have only 14 rocky stairs in my backyard in total. So, roughly 50~ tapcons for the worst case and this 12V drill is already better than enough. One gripe is that the one released in Korea seems to have metal chuck but this isn't. That is all.
