Auto start function
Uses CR2032 battery which has longer standby time. It will auto-on when you slide the jaws apart. After 5 minutes of inactivity, it will automatically shut down to save power and increase usage time.

Knurled Thumb Wheel

Para abrir el compartimento de la pila, se incluye un mini destornillador, pero curiosamente el destornillador que se aporta es de estrella y el tornillo del compartimento de las pilas es de punta plana, o sea, no sirve.

The Amazon box was in perfect condition but the case for the calipers arrived smashed. I could exchange or return, but tbh that’s a hassle and not worth my time. Just beware if you buy this product.

Great caliper I use it when working on cars I wish it had a light up display but it’s a great caliper for the price can’t beat it

Got this Acemeter 6" digital caliper today Sep '22. Its pretty impressive for a sub $30 caliper. Its not a Mitutoyo but not HF eithier. Repeats very well with a several test points including zero. Does not skip, i can move the caliper very fast and it keeps up with the counting. The measurement display updates just like my 30 year old Mitutoyo, the HF has an annoying lag. Finish is a little sharp but well done. A little stoning made it easier to handle and the slide action smoother. No air gap on the outside jaws. The housing for the electronic is some metal not plastic. Uses a more common CR2032, im hoping this will last a little longer than the usual 303/357. Im purchasing another one at this price, one for the mill, one for the lathe. update i changed my 5 star to 1 star. I ordered and received the second one. This time they sent me a used one. Fingerprints and a scratch on the display. Avoid seller.

Can't open battery compartment, Battery in there is dead and Amazon doesn't let me go past reason for return in the return process so here I am writing a poor review. Seller if maybe given the option would refund or replace for me, but Amazon is playing hard and there is no one to talk to.

As an earlier review indicated, the device comes with a battery installed and a backup. After breaking the batter compartment and scratching up the casing, I finally managed to get it opened. I found a dead battery inside. The backup was fine. The unit works well, once it starts working, but it requires too much disassembly to get to the battery. I give it a 5 for working, a 1 for the battery compartment....averages out to a 3.

Easy to use, turns on when you slide it. Batteries very easy to replace. I like the large display. Does not have fractions.

Digital calipers can get expensive. This caliper works perfect. Very easy to read. It is made of good material. Adjusting for measurements is smooth and can be locked in place. You can even zero out the measurement when the caliper is fully closed which increases the accuracy of your next measurements.
