Very happy with how well this extendable chainsaw cuts limbs, branches, etc.

It works for very high branches as it has a really long telescopic pole. I would have given it 5 stars, but I was disappointed that for cutting up felled branches and logs the length of the handle/saw cannot be shortened for close work.

I work with tall trees so I bought the longest one I could find. It is also adjustable. The longer you make it, the heavier it feels--that's why I gave it 3 strs on maneuverability. This is 120VAC (not battery)

The oil container is small and tops up really fast. So, either go slow, or have rag nearby. Also, if you let it run dry, like any chainsaw, it will ruin the blade and it won't cut well. Remember to add that oil after an hour, or so, of use.The chain is tightened correctly, when you loosen the nut on the side, pull it out so the chain can only be lifted about 1/4" inch from the groove (about middle way). Anything more than 1/2" is too loose and can come off. Anything tighter than say, 1/8" is too tight and it won't spin easily.Using a higher gauge extension cord is important. If the cord is really long, like 100 feet, you need about 14 gauge. If short, say 25 feet you can get away with a lighter gauge, like 18. Remember heavier gauge is smaller number and required for longer lengths. Also, remember to wear a helmet and at least protective eyewear. I had, what looked like a small branch fall into my face. Painful! Finally, cleanup as you go. I made another mistake when I had tons of branches piling up and I cut the extension cord since I didn't see it. Not brilliant. Don't do what I did!Keep safe. Think. Go slow. It's a great tool, but can be dangerous in multiple ways. If you never used one, have an experienced person show you how. If you want to try it on your own, do a lower.branch and let gravity do the work. Don't force it. Also, the best place to cut is certainly not at the tip, but closer back to the motor, so it won't kick.

Chain keeps coming off..it's easy to put back on but frustrating to have to keep doing it.

I wasn't sure what to expect with this but it surprised me at how powerful it was. It cut through 6-8" diameter limbs with ease. I really appreciate the ability to lengthen the saw. It makes reaching taller limbs easier.2 thumbs up!

We purchased this Earthwise pole chainsaw because we have owned and used an Earthwise TC70001 11-Inch 8.5-Amp Corded Electric Tiller/Cultivator for over 7 years to prepare a large raised bed garden every year. The tiller is so reliable that we wanted to try this Earthwise corded pole saw before considering anything else. When we received it, we noted that everything fit together well and the assembled saw is very solid without feeling heavy. We removed, reinstalled and adjusted the chain before the first use, just to see how that worked, and the instructions were clear so we know we did it correctly. We had several 3 to 4 inch dead branches to remove in a plum tree. This saw made that job safe and simple. While standing on the ground and holding the pole as instructed in the manual, we cut off each branch a foot away from the final cut so that most of the weight of the branch would be removed so that the final cut was clean without tearing the bark on the underside of the cut.Holding the pole firmly so that the saw would not fall after cutting through each branch, this Earthwise pole saw cut the 4" branch in seconds, like a hot knife through butter, and yes, that's a cliche, but so what, too bad, that's just what it was like.

Had it for 2 weeks and this product was garbage. Supposed to do a 5/6 in think branch and gets stuck even with 3 in thick limbs. Inside guide to hold the blade is plastic and started to warp. Its no good now since it wont keep the blade straight any more. Not safe to use at that point. Why you would make the inside parts all plastic when dealing with a metal blade and pressure, I don't know. Guess i got what i paid for. Unless you only play on using it once or as a hedge trimmer for small bushes I would not recommend this.

was not happy that the chain came off on the first day, also it was a little difficult to press safety button and then press start handle. otherwise it cut ok and did the job.
