Just recently received this product and am still working with it. The batteries take some effort to place them onto the shears and sometimes I've had to push a battery into the slot and push it hard to make a good connection. I've also had to take a battery out and push it back in firmly again in order to get the power light to activate. That may get better in time after using the shears for awhile. It just seems a little fickle in getting started but once it does, each pull of the trigger causes the blades to come together forcefully for one cycle of cut and release. The unit so far has been capable of cutting some fairly thick bush branches and I'm sure it will get much use this spring and summer. Just be careful not to get your fingers in between the blades while using. A small tool kit is included that will come in handy if you need to make any manual adjustments to the blades, as mentioned in the product directions. Two batteries are included and they seem to hold a charge well, at least so far. Oh, and it comes in a nice case also.

I've used these shears twice and this is what I have found. They are very sharp and easily handle items 1/2 in and smaller. Once you hit the 3/4 size you can tell it starts to struggle but still completes the job. The batteries are hard to get on and off but last about 45 minutes a pop. This pruner comes with 2- 2.0 amp hr batteries and a charger. They have an on/off switch at the base of the grip and when turning on, you have to hold the trigger down to initiate the pruner. Overall it's a great item for shrubs and general pruning 3/4 in and smaller.

This trimmer really saves my arthritic hands! I have used it to cut branches a bit bigger than the size of my thumb with ease and it still is able to trim tiny twigs because it is so sharp. The only things I don't like are how it is hard to get the battery on because it is not a great fit and it seems like a very cheap plastic. Also, it is really temperamental turning it on and off- it is very slow to get going. This is probably a safety feature so that it doesn't start hacking away until you are in position and ready, but it sometimes seems like you are yelling at it to work and it just sits there. I trimmed rose bushes and crepe myrtles with it and was very happy with the clean cuts and no sore hands!
